My neighbor just dropped off an identical one like yours. He got it for free from his boss. Needed a little work, mice chewed some wiring and didn't want to mess with it. How the heck do you get to the battery?

No way! What a score! Guy is so lucky to get that. These are some of the best machines in my opinion. Cummins engine. Manual linkage. The wiring is simple like a regular old car. Tough units I am in love with mine. They are actually not that hard to work on either. The cab slides forward and is not near as bad as I thought it would be. I have done a bunch of other stuff also. Not too bad at all. The battery is under your feet. It has a cover with a couple of bolts. The foot tray assembly will pop right out of there and expose your battery.👌 Lert me know how it goes! @fastflo1 Yeah, he was pretty stoked. He'd been asking him about it for a while. He hated seeing it just sitting there wasting away. His boss just ended up buying a newer one. I looked at the foot plate, it's welded in the area between the two corrugated foot rests. This one must not be able to remove. The other issue is that I don't think my garage ceiling is high enough to raise the arms up. Even if it was, we still couldn't do it because it's not running due to wiring. We're not sure what to do. I wish I could send ya some pictures.

Nothing beats those 1800 series. Give me an 1845 any day of the week over the new stuff
