@@RVCfilm "Saying something that is problematic and getting people worked up does not create a 'conversation'" That's an incredibly broad, presumptive statement. As much of America, to their credit, has been doing since those remarks. As Jon Stewart has said that people should and (probably) would. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, just wondering how such a broad, presumptive, and reductive statement came from a self-proclaimed jackal. Hi, Seth! Love the idea about a movie starring John, Jim, and the gopher! CORRECTION: Gophers don't live in forests though. They live in prairies and woodlands (less dense than forests). Since they live mostly underground, they need areas with sparser vegetation that would allow burrowing. Too many trees, too many roots, not enough space for tunnels. P.S., when I was a high school teacher I coached an academic event called "Current Issues and Events," and I would watch clips of A Closer Look with my students after school most weeks to get a brief (and humorous) take on political news. As an american now living in germany and having frequented the Aldi supermarket in both countries I can confirm that it is pronounced All-Dee, at least that's how it's pronounced here in Germany, where it is originally from, the supermarket started in Essen in the 1940's, so the Al-bun-dy pronounciation thing is jus an americanization of it. There's actually a bit of drama surrounding the Aldi chain, as it is split into Aldi South and North, the founding brothers had disagreements, google it :D, but that's another thing. CORRECTION: It's not really "Frankenstein's monster" because in Mary Shelley's story, the monster is not the creation, but Dr. Frankenstein himself as a mad scientist arrogant enough to believe he can control Nature caring little about the potential consequences and caused great suffering to both himself and those around him when his rejection of his own creation caused the whole situation to spiral out of control.

His creation did do a lot of murders for shitty reasons. Frankenstein might have been terrible by not giving his creation a name and not loving it because it was ugly. That said, at some point it became his own choice to murder and rage against society. As terrible as Frankenstein is, his creation was worse. Because while Frankenstein was pathetic, the only person he could have been said to have murdered was himself, by the hands of his creation. His creation left a wave of destruction and death in his wake ruining many lives.

9:04-9:45 is a great example of why I often refer to Seth's comedy as a counter when people act like asking comedians not to be horrible bigots on stage silences them on that topic somehow.
