For gaming/mechanical keyboards. They have been at this price for years so not inflation. Also Corsair keyboards are really pricey except this one... which I think is a bit too much 🤷♀️

I would love this keyboard. They typing sound sounds like playing on an arcade cabinet when I was a kid.

I actually really like my K60. I tend to type loudly and bang on the space bar, so the weight is a non-issue for me. The typing experience is really pleasant and I actually prefer to use it when I'm going to be writing for several hours at a time. Gaming with it is nothing to write home about, but the RGB is perty.

I've had the keyboard with VIOLA switches for a while and let me give my opinion on it. REGARDING THE SMOOTHNESS OF THE SWITCHES: When I was looking for the red switches I wanted linearity and low actuation force. Unfortunately CORSAIR manages very high prices for keyboards with RED switches, so when I saw this new VIOLA at a low price (well... not at all low really) and that is very similar to the RED ones, I was very excited, BUT it happens that Although the actuation force for the VIOLA is 45 g (the same as the RED) it is only for its first stroke because after the first two millimeters the force rises to 75 g which is high (especially for those of us who are used to do all the travel of the switch). CONCLUSION: It is not a soft switch. It is HARD and generates tiredness after a while of use. REGARDING THE SPACING BETWEEN KEYCAPS: WHEN KEYCAPS have a low profile, the spacing distances between key and key (note, I am not talking about the distance between key and key but the distance that separates one key from the other or between key and key ) are decreased so you are more likely to accidentally press the key next to it. It took me a long time to get used to this. (In particular, I have been changing many of the KEYCAPS for those of another keyboard that I have that are high profile to try to improve the user experience a bit). CONCLUSION: This keyboard is more prone to typing error REGARDING THE PRICE OF THE KEYBOARD: the price of this keyboard is more than 400,000 Colombian pesos (about 85 USD). Other keyboards on the market come ready with CHERRY MX RED switches and cost even less. The reality is that from my point of view the cost / benefit ratio in the acquisition of this keyboard (CORSAIR K60 PRO with VIOLA switches) is not satisfactory. I have consulted about this type of switches and I think they have not been used in other keyboards on the market (at least for my country) and... it must be for a reason, right? REGARDING THE SOUND OF THE SWITCHES: Although it is true that they are quieter than the Browns and the blues (similar to the RED) during typing with the VIOLA a clamp sound like a BELL is felt at the end of the run which is quite annoying. REGARDING QUALITY: (without taking into account the large number of negative comments on the networks about the double fingerings for some keys with these switches, some switches that have only been used for a few days and no longer work, etc.). Particularly on my keyboard the spacebar switch stopped working intermittently and I had to exchange it with the ScrLk switch because I couldn't know where to find replacements for these switches. In accordance with the above, I consider that THE PURCHASE of this keyboard with VIOLA switches IS NOT JUSTIFIED (especially if you are going to use it largely for typing / programming / developing for whose applications the fatigue in the fingers after long days feels enough already). Several days ago I contacted the CORSAIR brand to express my dissatisfaction with the product and my request to exchange for another keyboard that does not have this type of switches, but they have not yet responded) When you go from a membrane keyboard to a mechanical keyboard and you use this K60 with VIOLA switches the experience is certainly pleasant. Captivates the RGB and a bit the pseudo smoothness that these switches offer. But for those of us who have already worked with other mechanical keyboards with MX RED switches, or other types such as BROWN, BLUE of any brand, we realize that buying this K60 model is a very bad decision. And when I say "this K60 model" I mean that after this model, CORSAIR brought it out again, but not with the same type of VIOLA switches, but with low Profile and other accessories such as the wrist rest (actually, I haven't Couldn't find another keyboard in the world that has VIOLA switches on it, plus you can't get replacements). Obviously they were aware of the error and tried to correct it, but those of us who did not consult less accurate reviews of the keyboard and more objective reviews made the mistake of acquiring it. Mine, for example, I have in a fight so they can change it. When I complained about the dissatisfaction in the user experience (it cannot be that a key has to be pressed with 75 grams for the total travel) the switches had not begun to fail. But now one switch doesn't work and another one is repeating the fingering. The experience with this keyboard is really depressing! Mr. CHERRY: could you help me? I know that there have not been keyboards with this type of switch again, except for those that have been manufactured since 2020.

@johnhanek1678 ай бұрын
@@jblob5764 I do not use it. The Corsair switches are very different than the Gateron Browns and Lynx unlubed switches I use in my Glorious boards. The Corsair software is imo a mess and a nightmare to use, unless you like swirling rainbows. I have several Glorious Fullsize boards. They're no longer available, but smaller Glorious boards are out there. I love them because I can set the color of each key independently, plus as I mentioned I vastly prefer the action of the Gateron Browns and Lynx lubed switches. I've got Browns in one of them and Lynx Lubed in another. I actually bought 2 Corsair boards and gave away one of them unopened. I can see the corsair switch would be OK once you're used to it.

I love the K60. My first mechanical keyboard. I got the low profile switches and they are awesome, I’m even more happy since not everyone seems to be happy with the viola switches (but when I was buying the keyboard it was a 50/50 for me) The only thing I’m missing from my K55 in terms of function are media keys and maybe macro keys, but I’m planning to get a steamdeck to get those functions anyway without having a huge keyboard on my desk. Great review, although I would’ve hoped you included the low-profile one too, since my experience with that is different to your kinda negative experience with the viola switches. Greetings :)

I just bought one for my friend as I want him to move away from membrane mush keys! looking at Corsair’s design of the board it’s very good. It doesn’t flex and feels like a sold board, hardly any key cap wobble sadly no media controls but I think this is more of gaming orientated board over feature rich, they are definitely stiff for a linear switch, much stiffer than blacks or reds but then using a membrane keyboard then trying this out I can see why, I think the product is designed to shift people away from “gaming” membrane keyboards and focus more on a better overall experience I have a hyperx alloy core rgb and it’s probably the best membrane keyboard you can buy, much better than a Corsair k55, the k55 feels like the keys are harder to push and there’s a lot of deck flex, where the hyperx is much more solid and the multimedia controls feel better and nice and notchy. Though my hyperx alloy core was £48 new and the Corsair k60 is £110 so a big jump if you already have a keyboard that’s decent I would look at getting probably a cherry Mx red switch keyboard or a hyperx red switch keyboard if you are moving from membrane, if you don’t have a keyboard and are looking for a good one on a budget definitely a k63 or k60

IDK a damn thing about mechanical keyboards for gaming or typing. My plain keyboard died, and the K60 was on sale for $35. I didn't hesitate for a second.
@devrak7983 жыл бұрын
I purchased one and I have to say it would be nicer if they made the keys more like the K70, a little wider. They keys feel a little high and too close together. They feel nice, but some times my palm will hit the right CTRL key by accident while typing due to the hight of the keys. This activates an unwelcomed function command while typing that completely stops me from finishing my sentence. If you have smaller hands, you might like it. However, I'm going to order the K60 Pro Low Profile for comparison and see if the lower hight of the keys help with accidental key commands.

I've been using a GMMK Glorious Full Size, having Gateron brown switches for years. I don't do games. Recently bought a K60 and I really like the linear switches in it. The design lets a lot of light to flood out below the caps. Why can't the mfr publish detailed info about using the thing? I want to be able to set the color of each individual switch, don't know if that's possible, so I'm going to have to watch every YT vid there is to see if anyone talks about it.
