Here is a fun? fact: An asteroid the size of three football fields passed between us and the moon just last year and we couldn't see it until it was way too late bc it came from the direction of the Sun and the glare blinded us.

What are you talking about? We get hit ALL the time, it's not always seen, and 95% of the time they just disintegrate in the atmosphere. But there are massive craters all over the world lol. An asteroid struck the Yucatan peninsula millions of years ago and wiped out the majority of all megafauna on earth. Smaller astroids struck the Greenland icecap and ended the ice age 12,000 years ago. Wiping out animals like the mastodon and Saber toothed tigers
