Where did you stay in the Philippines? Though PH is small in the map, but it's actually big. You might have one stayed in a place that doesn't represent or show much of the country. 7,600+ islands man, you could've stayed in the countryside before, or in a remote town so it seems that your impressions were a little incomplete..

Have you tried Ice Kachang in Singapore/Malaysia? Ice shavings drizzled with condensed milk & colors on top & with jellies, palm fruit, red bean underneath the ice. Ice Kachang is different from Thailand's desserts. Thanks for mentioning the entry requirements into Philippines. // I stayed in 2 hotels for 1 year in Turkey.😄 And hotels in other countries. I have never tried Airbnb because the platform wants submission of passport information before I can even send message to any listing (Airbnbs are also expensive with platform fee & cleaning fee). Yes, the good thing about staying in hotels is that they are professionally managed---everything is included in the price, free & good Wi-fi, maintenance & housekeeping & you can easily change room if there's a problem or checkout to another hotel.

Cost of living is lower in Turkey. The main difference for me is in Turkey you don’t have to live in a fancy area, you can have “average” lifestyle. But in the Philippines we felt it’s either you stay in a “skyscraper” area or live very local style:) maybe I’m wrong, we only spent a month in The Philippines

Avoid the BBQ seafood Area that everyone flocks to in Cebu. Or at least avoid the fish BBQ. The worst food poisoning In my life. The other BBQ was fine small vendors chicken and pork but that big one everyone goes to be cautious.

We’ve already left Philippines, but funny enough I also had a food poisoning on the first day there, even though we didn’t eat at local food stalls 😅

For me i think Thailand still ahead in terms of everything could offers with very cheap and good quality and the most vibrant nightlife in the world you can find it in thailand also, Thailand is much more develop compare to other south east asian Countries like Philippines, Malaysia , Vietnam or Indonesia. thus still Thailand has the highest numbers of foreign tourist in South East Asia. lastly, all of SOUTH EAST ASIAN countries are stunning in Nature, beaches and islands.

I'd have to agree as Thailand already developed their tourism earlier than the rest of SEA

Malaysia is definitely more developed than Thailand or other Southeast Asian countries except Singapore which is a city state and understandable. Yes, Thailand has better and more developed road infrastructures than the Philippines and I personally witnessed it during our visit in 2017. Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines are somewhat in the same level in development but the Philippines seems to be a laggard in progress due to toxic politics. Indonesia will soon have the first high-speed rail in Southeast Asia which is now nearing completion connecting Jakarta and Bandung, its second largest city. In the Philippines, the national government is focused mainly in Metro Manila area and neglects other growth areas especially Cebu, its second largest city.

Once again, anoth lame brain bringing up Thailand into a video about PH, Thailand is ahead in everything your fanism of the place could think of, seems to me that you are insecure on the subject of all the so called superiority of Thailand over this country, being that you need to randomly bring it up to hail its praises of how much "better" it is than PH. Thailand isnt developed at all, it has 2 good to decent cities, and alot of the hype of its "development" is all stemming from Bangkok, which while it has finished its dvelopment, Philippines is going to far outrun it with development, the past president, and current president, unlike many before it are actually making it their goal to develop more than any other president before. Your precious Thailand has 2 good to decent cities with a skyline, Philippines is on the track to have atleast 5, Thailand's main hype of infrastructure comes from its subway system, that is only in Bangkok, wow, so impressive. If you think tourism numbers mean better than places with less tourism: France, Spain, USA, China, Italy, Turkey, and Mexico, are all better than Thailand, and all other countries too; visitation doesnt equal better man.

@@lionhearted1969 You are also wrong, yeah, you are right about Malaysia and Singapore being more developed than other places in SE Asia, they should with all the Chinese blood there, and never being in any wars I know of, they have nothing to worry about to hinder their development; so kudos to them I guess, but Thailand I still disagree with. You claim Manila and Cebu are the only areas the government in PH focuses on, but in Thailand, the government focuses only on Bangkok, and Pattaya, and ofcourse the sex industry tied in with their tourism industry helps a ton with that, 2017 is a long time ago, Philippines will have like 5 skylines comparable to any capital city by 2030: Manila, Cebu, Davao, Illolo, and New Clark City; the current cities are still being even more built up; God forbid the benefit the US military returning will do, them leaving was what hit the country hard in the first place. With Indonesia, Thailand isnt more developed than Indonesia at all, they have several cities of note with skylines and all, Thailand only has 2 and Pattaya isnt a real skyline anyways, just some condos and hotels that happen to have alot of levels, no skyscrapers or tall office buildings honestly. And Vietnam is coming along just fine, Thailand like Singapore and Malaysia has been out of the way of anything that could dramatically halt its growth, and development unlike the other countries named. So yeah, you need to update your info, and stop listening to this nonsense these people hating on PH have said over and over again, they themselves are stuck back in time, to a time they wish it was; times have changed ALOT.

I've lived in the Philippines And been several times in the past 35 yrs. It is too dangerous unless You live with several Filipino people or you Live in a gated community And never leave without A Filipino driver/bodyguard. Many people get fooled by good luck as tourists or short term Expats but those who have been there for years Have seen or experienced The danger. In the Philippines the robbers leave no witness and will rob you by knife or gunpoint for as little as $10. Even Filipinos who can afford to have guards at there home and have a driver/bodyguard go with them (everywhere).
