Our health insurance per year is well over $7000 without vision. That's before you actually use it. Our monthly bills were just under $350 with mild weather in Texas. During late spring/summer that will shoot up another $100 because of AC use. So, it looks to be COL would be a little less than half there compared to the US for us. The same can be said for Mexico.

Are real estate prices the same as what we see online or are they cheaper when your on the ground going through locals. My wife’s parents are from Moca DR and we would love to get a small plot of land one day as a hobby farm. Keep up the content... you both come across as real and down to earth. Cheers
@CaribbeanE4 жыл бұрын
Remember to watch the Corotos app video so you can see prices and make sure your paying attention because they write numbers differently and specify if it is USD or DOP, for example they list a monthly price of 1.000 and you think its one hundred but it is $1,000 USD. and we've seen homes for sale listed as 1250.00 and its $125,000 USD so ask for clarity to the owner.

My mums fiancé is Dominican. They are having trouble finding clear information on how they can get married, both in the DR and in the US. The info he gets is different than the info she gets. And why can’t he just get on a plane to visit the US? I just want the both to be happy, and want to help figure all this out. Is it more realistic for her to move there or for him to come here??? Subscriber# 906!!!!
@CaribbeanE4 жыл бұрын
They must get married in BOTH countries because marriage in the USA is not recognized here so I would suggest both, He would have to pay & get a travel visa to go to the USA from the Dominican, then she would get citizenship through the Dominican consulate because they are married and vice versa but always ask all the particulars from the American & Dominican consulate look them up locally most in larger cities like New York , LA California, etc. Good luck & make sure it’s not a scammer because there are a lot of men & women that find Americans to get money & citizenship from.

You guys have a hot water heater in your apartment or is that provided by your building? There’s a lot of people under the impression that there’s no hot water in any DR homes. Even in the eighties while growing up there in the capital we had hot water in our apartment and we weren’t rich. I know it’s not everyone but I know it’s not that uncommon. Thank you for your videos
