Be sure to always negotiate the price of the rental. 1 month is X price. 6 months lease should be 10% cheaper then the monthly price and 1 year lease should be 20% cheaper.

That's not true if its in a good location and well furnished. You want to live in a good location.

You can hear the noise in the background unless you have a tv on. Ugh living in a loud coffin for 550. I stick to the subdivisions and the karokee vs all that road noise. In lapu lapu i live in a rooster free 3bdr place with pool for 400 a month.

How big is that 3 bedroom house? Is it furnished well ?
@Adventure561910 ай бұрын
@@bigbearhugebear9018 94sqm 100 sqm lot. It had everything but tv and microwave. However there is no western food available accept mcd. Even on grab to far away. Its all local and local shopping. Which is fine with me saves me money on food and helps keep the inches off the waist line.

Brent’s Trippin i hate to tell you this you have missed spoken when you called your place a 1 bedroom its not if you really did have a 1 bedroom the bed room would be a separate room for all the other rooms. so what you are living is is really called a studio condo or a studio apartment in either case its a studio not a 1bedroom at all. you do not need to believe me at all jsut look it up for yoru self and then you will know i am right anyways.

A similar Condo in IT park is 20k/month (Avida towers) = 355usd/month + 80/month for electric and water + 25/month for internet = 460/month + food. So yea, you can easily live on 1k/month. But Really, you would want 1500/month for unexpected things that come up. As a single guy, A studio is just fine. If you have a girlfriend though you'll want to get a 1bedroom condo.

Yea but you live in a tiny shoe box 24 sq meter. How big was your house in the west
@dddtrump10 ай бұрын
@@bigbearhugebear9018 I stayed in Cebu a few different Airbnb condos. Studios and 1 br. Studios are fine except for the thin walls. Back in the west had a 4 bedroom house paid off. But Don't need that much space as a single guy. And also renting fully furnished saves you money and hassle when you move to the next place.

Dumaguete they always ripped me off and demanded 100 pesos everywhere I went in town. Tagatay was even worse I hate the trike drivers they're all scammers

Buy your own 3 wheel Bajaj RE tuk tuk -- a decent used one about $1500 - $2000 -- and use it like a car ? Keeps the rain & sun off + you can haul "stuff" when needed ? - - - Ideal in an area like Tagaytay where the temps are comfortable and things are spread out where you need transportation ? I would love it there being retired I do believe and exploring the area around Taal Lake and the smaller towns nearby.

1100/month in the US - is that with a paid off home or paying rent ?

New sub here. I like your videos and am looking forward to seeing more. Could you make a video about how you handle your phone situation for accessing your US bank accounts and receiving 2 factor authentication codes that the banks send to log into the account. Do you use an international plan like T-Mobile?

Not so sure I would like Cebu or Manila -- much too crowded for me. -- The noise when you opened the door to the balcony was atrocious to my old decrepit ears ! -- Several expats in Dumaguete are living comfortably on about $900/mo. in basic recurring expenses w/o drinking smoking or much travel. > I'd guess $1200 -- $1500 would be more "comfortable" but probably not necessary every month perhaps ? 🤔 🙏 👍
