The biggest flaw with the A train light speed argument is that starlight's beams cannot possibly be light. If you can see it moving, then it isn't light, in order for you to see ANYTHING light must bounce off of that thing and hit your eyes or the thing itself must emit light, therefore if A train saw starlight's beams then they cannot be light itself.

Spider-Man’s greatest asset in this scenario wouldn’t be his powers. It would be his brilliant mind. If he gets his hands on Compound V, he’d be able to study it and maybe make a counteracting agent against it. He has made sonic-based weaponry before and Supes in The Boys are weak against high frequencies. His experience as an investigative journalist would also be important here. He’s not just taking down the Seven. He’s taking down all of Vought.

This is also completely disregarding the fact that Peter now has the permanent boost of Anti-Venom. Which is stated to just be the same boost as the symbiote just without the corruption and clearly without the weakness to sound, and this symbiote was already beefed up from the comics in several ways, as sound was its only weakness, and it's stated to actually be completely fireproof

Say hello to Caustic Touch, the move where anti-venom can remove any impurities from the victims body, including but not limited to diseases, radiation, poison, and even serums. Basically if you got your powers from something else, he can take them away. So that's the entire Seven turned back into humans.

It being completely fireproof and also making him so strong is what annoyed me about the final Flame mission where he's "pinned" under a train car that he should be able to bench press without the symbiote, and is in danger of dying from being burned and needs Yuri to save him.... even though he's wearing the Anti-Venom symbiote and should be no-selling the entire scenario.

the problem with the nuke statement is that it's a blanket statement lacking context. there is a numerous amount of interpretations to be made with this statement, for example. an interpretation you could prolly say is that these weapons failed because homelander is simply too fast to even be hit by them. or maybe homelander disabled them before getting hit, etc

One correction on your point about "you need Mach 33 to escape the Earth's gravity": that's imprecise. You need mach 33 to escape the Earth's gravity well IF AND ONLY IF you have no continuous acceleration and are getting out in one go, like how IRL rockets accelerate once and then let their momentum carry them out. Homelander can continually accelerate against Earth's gravity until he's outside its gravity well, so he could theoretically do it at 0.1 m/s if he wanted to painstakingly fly out of the planet. Dude. Batman stands no chance. He is the most wanked characters because all it takes is an author to not understand the difference between relative and absolute difference. Oh, batman dodge this attack. What, it was a MFTL point blank attack, no but you see, batman is the most efficient fighter and he can dodge in advance. Because they don't understand that dodging in 0.001s and 0.0001s isn't a minor difference due to 0.001-0.0001 being small, but its massive because it's 10x. And also, if he predodge, he's still not moving in the eyes of any character. So it's like, can you hit a stationary target if it's moved 1cm to the right. No matter how well batman can pre dodge and is efficient in martial art, any decent speed character would have 1000x the time to readjust course and change the direction their fist is going. Nor massively faster then light movement (or whatever equivalent you'll give due to martial art and prediction). Nor can He see in the future or slow down the perception of his enemies. What's more likely is that Starlight shoots plasma blasts or something like that, since they're just matter they have nothing to do with the speed of light. Which means A-Train is just faster than the speed at which Starlight can shoot her blasts, whatever that speed may be. But that's just a theory, a power scaling theory.

If you are capable of self propelled flight you dont need to reach escape velocity to go to space, that is the speed at which you would need to jump to escape earths gravity well. Homelander could travel upwards at 100m/s and reach space in less than an hour if he wanted

The whole "They hit Homelander with every weapon on Earth" line is highly dubious. They couldn't have tested nukes on him, as the military/government controls the nukes and haven't had any interest in working with Vought or supes in the past. Vought themselves wouldn't have access to nukes to test on Homelander. So it's highly likely that the claims he could withstand a nuke are hyperbole from a Vought employee who had ample reason to exaggerate.

A mach 33 escape velocity means you need to be moving at mach 33 at the surface of the planet, and assumes you have no upwards acceleration. Homelander has no weaknesses, except for aluminum straws. Homelander isn’t invulnerable to everything, he’s just highly durable. We saw that he can be physically harmed by similarly strong characters, and his flesh can be pierced with sufficient force. His comic counterpart that he’s based on, has shown better feats and he was killed by his clone. It’s was also stated that his comic counterpart would die from a nuke. Live action Homelander has never been hit with a nuke and he’s been harmed by less than nuke things, so he’s likely not nuke level. His top travel speed is massively hyper sonic, and he’s not a very skilled fighter. Spidey has the strength to harm him, the durability and regeneration to keep up, the speed feats to contend, plus he’s more experienced, has precognition, is a better fighter, and level headed.
