Great interview, making space in the controller to put the converter is really smart and interesting

You’re an excellent interviewer and I’ve always wondered why there isn’t a space for a converter in other boards. This content is great while you’re at events. I think you’re finding your niche 😊

Thank you! It’s been tough trying to figure out what I’m good at as a content creator but TONS of fun

First six minutes: That's pretty cool! Not for me, but cool! 6:03 VM6R YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO No hate on leverless advocates, but it's nice to see the classic lever with some layout updates! Thanks for stopping by ASI's booth and showcasing!
@Chris_FАй бұрын
Just out of curiosity, what’s your main game?
@GTCvDeimosАй бұрын
@@Chris_F Thanks for asking! Mostly SF6, but gaming has taken a back seat to a busy life, and dog training/competition (it's kinda funny how fighting game concepts also apply to running dog obstacles!). I got a big rise out of the VM6R, cuz it feels like leverless gets all the love without much advancement in the traditional fightstick world. Potentially of interest to you, I do it old school and built myself an Industrias Lorenzo Eurojoystick box for my SF6 needs. Go big, or go home :D Finally, I've said it many times now, and I'm gonna keep saying it until it's a universally accepted fact, but your content is SSS tier! Your tutorials stand with the best of them, and I hope you're gd proud of yourself, cuz you should be! I hope to catch one of your streams in the near future (when I'm not busy chasing dogs around an obstacle field :D)!

One of the best ideas I've ever seen so far. A lot of 'brands' releasing their own take on both leverless or even the traditional sticks but nowadays, a lot of them are all just RP2040-based, or what we now call the GP2040-CE, and just slapped on a custom pcb with terminals. I actually found it odd that forerunners like Haute42 and the numerous leverless brands out there didn't think of putting a universal notch to keep pass-through converters out of the way; like they had years to think about that - truly, I have to say ASI made a genius stroke of innovation regarding that.
@Chris_FАй бұрын
I think the market is absolutely oversaturated with very similar products with only very small differences. Haute42 was the first to shake things up with a low price and “more than you paid for” quality. I hope ASIndo can release this at a price that puts them squarely in the middle to take advantage of the fact that they are actually innovating, unlike many other brands right now
@GeNGiMАй бұрын
@@Chris_F I guess they will just do that. I mean just them offering just the case/enclosure for this leverless form factor is already a compelling option, since I know a lot of those who of who will buy from them will have a choice of different switches and keycaps anyway (i.e. will replace almost all active parts) and I do hope they will offer a bare case+main PCB as a primary option like they do for their other controllers
@momo.maru-kunАй бұрын
Maybe put a sliding door cover to cover-up the PCB so it doesn't get snagged when you throw it in a bag

If this is at most a mid-range leverless it looks like an excellent product. The Asindo leverless are extremely thoughtful in their designs but are also just way out of the price range of most people. What was your experience with how the buttons feel? I'm very happy with my Crown buttons which I'm told is close to gamerfingers(very springy, not low-profile, easy to double-tap), but in contrast have no experience with the more low-profile optic switches used for the likes of the razer kitsune.
@Chris_FАй бұрын
When we spoke, the plans were to have full-profile switches which means (in theory) you could replace with regular buttons too. I think your crowns would work on this, but I won’t know for sure until I try the final product
@gwen9939Ай бұрын
@@Chris_F Oh that's pretty good then. Cheers!
@h2_Ай бұрын
I really like the internal space for the usb passthrough, but I don't see the vision for hotswapping pcbs like that. The profile features could definitely be better on gp2040, but swapping pcb seems kind of wild. How are you supposed to transport a naked pcb without bending the pins or having them stab through things?? Is he making a pcb carrying caddy or something?
@Chris_FАй бұрын
I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some kind of carrying case, however, since PCBs are so small most people probably have a small box at home they could put it in. I don’t think it’s a big issue, but let’s see what customers think

This would be nice if all the buttons were 24mm and not a shiokenstar layout.
@Chris_F28 күн бұрын
I don’t know if you can change the layout (doubt it) but I asked and you CAN have it set to all 24mm

That’s a cool design, I don’t like the aesthetic I prefer a metal or wooden case and I wish they’d have an option with the wasd buttons more to the left I feel it’d be more comfortable for us wasd users

The only thing that separates it is hot swap PCB and an area for your your converter to lay. Other than that, smaller buttons for movement. Keyboard buttons are probably going to be changed to something else but I hope it stays. My big thing is that the controller needs to be priced like haute 42 controllers since it's using the same parts.
@Chris_FАй бұрын
The buttons are full-profile which is different from most controllers (low profile) Also, you can replace the button caps and use 24mm OR 30mm I think it’s the most custom-friendly controller I’ve used, which is very on-brand for ASIndo
@badplatano9 күн бұрын
Looking to be the best leverless option but only if buttons if the right size buttons were used. 30mm should only be used on the jump button. Shame!
@Chris_F9 күн бұрын
You can swap the caps and set them to any size you like!
@badplatano8 күн бұрын
@@Chris_F I see the faceplate have holes that matches the keycaps size though. Unless you can buy different faceplates

@MrAstro7110 not at all, has full profile button switches which means it’s even more customizable than a haute42. Same GP-2040 board so I can’t wait to get my hands on this
