@@Writer777-wanna_be. Its consecutive sentencing so they will have to serve one sentence at a time. Not concurrently which is at the same time. She doesn't seem to be fully accepting of her responsibility for acts that she perpetrated upon her children. She did cause many injuries to her older children minus Jodie Hidlerbeand, she may have bought into Jodie's destructive ideas but she was already using severe abuse as a way of life to all of her children. She must serve her full sentence, recieve no income from her years on social media, she must not in any way profit from her abusive ideas & actions. These children may never be functional adults & may require many continual years of treatment bith physically & mentally. The video of her explaining that her kindergarten aged child not having a lunch was the childs fault showed a particularly evil attitude. I raised my children with care but expected them to grow into good adults. At kindergarten I would never expect a child to make their own nutritional lunch. I think she's a lot more to blame than she wants to accept.

These children were on their way to the same outcome as the 15 year- old boy, from Michigan, whose mother tortured him to his horrific death. These women got off too lightly by the option of as little as 1 year times 4, if the 1-15 yr sentences are on the lighter side. It is appalling that the judge accepted pleas for 1 yr possibilities due to the fake piousness of these disgusting women. Horrified is how I feel having worked for DV shelter as a Children's Counselor, advocating for, listening to and hearing the utter helplessness, and sometimes resignation that these innocent, in every way, victims endured and courageously managed to survive from their abusive ordeals. I'm tired of children suffering at the hands of people who "LOOOVED" THEM, AS THE PERPETRATORS SEEM TO ALWAYS SAY. It made me sick to hear these abusers use that term. People don't realize the lifetime of suffering the residual effect of abuse will have on the children. Even with therapy, they will be dealing with perception of people through the lenses they have been forced to use due to the distorted reality they were dealt by their perpetrators. No more innocence of childhood as they all deserved to have without abusive beliefs that were forced upon them. Shame, shame on these "light, indecisive" sentences. Four 15- year consecutive sentences would have been more appropriate because the children's lives will be permanently altered, even with long-term therapy, which they may not have access to due to finances or availability. SHAME ON OUR SO- CALLED "FAIR" JUSTICE SYSTEM. Perhaps their physical appearance had something to do with light sentences. After all, they don't visually "appear" dangerous or villainous. Poor kids and what they went through and will continue to suffer for a very long time. SICK OF IT!!

I wish they could all get caught, and I also wish the children had safer families to raise them, but unfortunately, things can be very scary in foster care… almost worse. At least these children have other family members to raise them. I hope their father goes to therapy and does not blame the children for running away and seeking help, that would be disgusting. The whole story is deep and diabolical. Sadistic. Do you know why the oldest son was denied a bed to sleep in for a year? Because he woke up his younger brother early in the morning and told him to pack his bags because they were all going to Disney World. Then when they get to the family car? He laughs at him! And says how so sad we are not going! 😢 I found this out because Ruby was video taping her oldest son regaling the tale while laughing. He learned that behavior from his parents. Yes, the two youngest didnt get Christmas Presents on Christmas Day. I have zero comprehension of such corruption, let alone the physical torture. She acknowledges her behavior, which is hopeful. But I don't understand. How could she get so twisted even before meeting Hildebrandt. She and Kevin received tons of cash exploiting their children on You Tube. Without the children's consent. Openly abusing them in front of a camera for anyone to see. Cruel, inhumane, denying food, degrading them. This is way deeper than we know. Hildebrandt is motivated only by sadistic control cleverly hidden under a cloak of intelligence and manipulation. The Mormon church endorsed her. When Ruby hooked up with her? All I can say is thank you God for helping that young boy to be courageous! To seek help and save himself and his sister!! Hildebrandt, in my opinion, should not be let back into society. Furthermore, she is not safe around anyone! Even in prison! I firmly believe she ought to be in solitary confinement with access to a priest or a counselor for the rest of her life. She is 100% not repentant.

It’s 1-15 years per count. They both have 4 counts to be served consecutively so it would have been 4-60 years however the maximum allowable sentence in Utah is 30 years so their sentence is 4-30 years. In order to get out anytime under 30 years, they would have to go before a parole board and plead their case for early release. The earliest that can happen is at 4 years but that doesn’t guarantee they’ll be granted parole. If they are not, they continue to serve their sentence up to 30 years. Given the severity of the abuse both women inflicted on the children, I doubt they’ll ever be granted parole and will serve the full 30 years.
