My personal opinion…she did it…the kids were young enough and she manipulated them into staying quiet and over the years coaching them!! The boyfriend decided to end the affair and she decided to frame him since she didn’t win…i haven’t figured out who if anyone helped her hide the body but I don’t feel like the husband was fully aware so I’d say it falls all on her and to even let her kid go up there and say at the age she would have been that she did it is absurd 🤷‍♂️

I know this will upset many but it’s my opinion. I don’t know if she actually shot Michael or not but there is reasonable doubt in this case according to what the law states is reasonable doubt. I don’t think the state had a strong case that she killed Michael. Yes she is a liar, slept around & knew a lot more than she admitted to but that doesn’t prove she murdered him. Isabella insisted on testifying & her story has stayed pretty consistent. She was also a week from her 8th birthday & we don’t know how much strength she had plus adrenaline & fear can give a person a rush of strength so she could of shot a gun, we just don’t know 100% whether she did or not. It was proven Laurie was the victim of DV. Maybe she kept quiet thinking she was protecting her daughter? Isabella is turning 17 so I think she would know if she was manipulated & can rely on her memories or she wants to protect her mom because she grew up witnessing the DV her mom endured, we truly don’t know!! I am usually not so undecided on a case as I am about this one.

The mom convinced her daughter to say she shot her Dad, if the police find out, because nothing will happen to a 7 yr old defending her mother, but I believe Laurie is a cold calculating person and was fed up with Michael and she killed him in anger.

If the counsel communicates anything that was not submitted into evidence, it is objectionable. This is very common. They cannot make statements about any evidence that was not discussed/questioned during the trial.

Daughter testified had no relationship with father hardly saw him at all didn't really know him. Yet because they knew she would be asked how she knew how to shoot a gun came up with story he took her out several times week and taught her how to shoot and handle a gun. Sounds like a bonding experience to me.
