Nah Josh, I'm sorry. The first defendant did agree she was wrong, but she immediately claimed she didn't remember what happened to the ring, then said that "someone" pawned it, then admitted that she pawned it but couldn't remember for how much. She's still being deceptive and dodging accountability WHILE claiming she should be released from probation early because she's taken accountability. Good move on the judge's part.

Yep.. I agree as well. It’s good that she’s doing better in her life now, but the elderly person that she victimized still carries the pain of having a precious item stolen from her. An engagement ring means she probably had it for many years, and it undoubtedly represented cherished memories for her. I don’t think this woman even tried to see if she might be able to recover the ring.. She’s trying to say she doesn’t remember how much she pawned it for, knowing that would only add to the despicable nature of her crime. Let her stay on probation, as the judge says. At least she’s not incarcerated..The woman who had her ring stolen will carry the pain with her long after this thief will have forgotten all about it.

Like somebody is watching and getting off on seeing me on the verge of ending this crap.. everybody i love. That ive ever loved all ended up dying and leaving me here. Whether it was drugs, themselves, life or some bs that took them its all just different kinds of depression it gives you. Aint got no friends left because they either passed away or turned backs on me and proved they didnt give half a fuk about somebody. All my family left this world long ago. Hell if i even wanted drugs i couldnt cuz i wouldnt know where to find em. They all probably laced with that shit too so be a death sentence if i did find something.. sober hasent helped shit in my head.. neither has any of the legal drugs therapists give me.. i tried to spend the rest of my days working and distracting myself but ended up having some old woman drive into oncoming traffic and hit me both going 75+ and broke my back so lost my job and ability to do what i used to be able to.. now with the economy biting everything it can chew im done.. denied disability because of all the thieves during covid times, denied anything from the job i had because of some fine print bs.. talk about in and out of jail. I served time from when i was 14 until i was 18 but been out for 22 years and life has consecutively gotten crappier and harder.. being alone is the hardest damn thing to deal with for even a short time, 10 years of it will leave you broken.. and a dude with a broken spirit, broken body and broken hopes isnt a dude anymore. They just a shell waiting to move on to the other world if there even is one. But tell u the truth i dont care if its just an infinite nothingness for eternity, i don’t wanna hurt all the time.. tired of this bullshit always regretting, wishing, losing.. done with this life. I hope you get what u want out of life but it all lies with someone who loves you and someone you can love and hold onto.. someone you can make kids with and raise. Thats a life worth living. The good life is when the people you love help and are around until you grow old. Family. The ones you make and the ones youve had. Hold onto that shit.. dont let go cuz life will take that shit first chance. Im telling u truths.. aint nothing else in life worth a damn. All the money don’t mean crap. Why are you sticking up for the chic THAT STOLE FROM AN ELDERLY WOMAN?? Who when asked about the ring she stole, SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS AND SAID “I DONT EVEN KNOW” That girl is some of the bottom of the barrel. And you and her both think “well I’ve been good for a little while, and I’m just ready to move on with my life..” That’s BS. She showed no remorse. Didn’t give two flying F*C*Ks about the older woman or her getting her ring back. She tried to minimize what she did by trying to word it like it was someone else who pawned the ring and not herself. Until the judge called her out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about 2nd chances and ppl changing their behavior for the better. But what she did is not some misdemeanor drug charge. SHE STOLE FROM AN ELDERLY, VULNERABLE WOMAN WHO SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CARING FOR. It’s not just the theft. It’s about who she stole from. It’s about what she stole from her. And without a doubt, this was just the first time she got caught. I love your channel and I’ve been a subscriber forever. But I’m upset with how you were just like “oh well she’s been good man”. I never would’ve thought that would’ve been your position on the whole issue.

I agree, if you do bad, you get punished, and if you do good, you get rewarded. Her reward for doing good, is getting to be in her kids life, earn a salary, and not go to jail. THAT IS THE REWARD! She's not being punished for doing good....she got punished for doing bad. Stealing from elderly. Just because she isn't overtly doing bad right now, doesn't mean her probation should be terminated. In 1990 I caught an armed robbery charge in Mississippi. I had a public defender who negotiated 5-year mandatory sentence. I went behind her back and talked to the DA and actually negotiated it down to 3 years mandatory. All armed robbery is mandatory time in Mississippi. I was a very unusual inmate because apparently I was the only guilty person in Parchman. That 3 years was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. It opened my eyes really quick. I got out in 93 and I have had two traffic tickets since then. My rap partner had a good lawyer. He got 18 months probation. He didn't learn his lesson. A few years later apparently he went out with somebody else and committed a couple more robberies. Now he's sitting in the MDOC with 15 mandatory for the first robbery, 30 mandatory for the second robbery and life without because they hit him with the bitch. All of it consecutive. That means that if he does get reincarnated, he's got to come back and do 45 more years.

Ok. So the lessons she'd learn in the pokey wouldn't have her out committing even worse crimes? The bootlickers act like our system is actually rehabilitative. It creates Stockholm syndrome at best. And it starts with the officers who are corrupt and are permitted to break the law and be deceptive... follows right on through the system where the incarcerated learn how to live like a thug. And this is rehabilitative? Give me a fuckin break.

The ending comments were epic. " Dumped the smoke..outta there like the road runner" ..." sorry Sally , let me get you outta there"...." makes me feel better about my own situation and I'm not even in a situation" I laughed so hard... I love this channel lololol

How much better would this country be if all the judges were like Judge Boyd? Just because that 1st defendant has been staying out of trouble doesn't mean she has changed her ways. She just hasn't got caught yet. Most people do not change their ways. I would say at least 90% don't ever change. Probably more.

Exactly, 90% never change. So it would do nothing but institutionalize petty criminals. And we'd have a bunch of bitter, speech controlling, self righteous judges.

So this dude thought it would be a good idea to bring up other cases he has going on in different jurisdictions when pleading for leniency? Prime example of why you don't talk without an attorney. Especially when your last few brain cells are fighting each other over who gets to speak first.

Dude had like 6 months to come up with $600. You can make 600$ in 3 weeks even at minimum wage ($7.25). Motel 6 pays more like $10-12 an hour. If he ate some ramen noodles and quit blowing all of his money on pot he might have been able to afford it. Eventually he might even make something of himself if he stuck with that and put that money toward training some blue collar skill or trade. But no, staying home, ordering pizza, and ripping that bong is more comfortable. Why set and achieve goals for true happiness and wellbeing when you can have instant gratification? Hell, even if somehow he couldn’t come up with the money, just take out one of those scummy quick cash loans for a 30%APR. I’d rather be in debt to those assholes than have jail hanging over my head because I owe courthouse fines.

I’d say getting probation instead of going to jail for stealing $15,000 in jewelry was already a pretty darn good break

No way would she get off of probation from me. The elderly lady probably had that ring for decades and at $15K back then, is worth more now, in addition to sentimental value. Who knows if her husband is still alive that gave it to her. It was generous of her to get 8 yrs of probation rather than 15 or more yrs of prison. Nope, no way does she deserve early release. She didn’t even look remorseful.

How come the first woman didnt have a recipt from the pawnshop when she got busted??? She probobly got $200 for that 15k ring too so she shuld definetly try to get it back regardless if shes done stealing or not.

I think either return the ring or return the $15,000 you stole is a fair assignment before anything is considered. You need to right your wrongs. It’s good that she’s doing better, and it doesn’t excuse the pain those poor people feel

@@HIRAMECLARKEHOPS Im talking about digital recipt either e-mail or text unless she found some oldschool fence. I asumed she knew the diffrence, taking $200 thinking thats all she need for the moment not attracting smoke, but then again she might have been paying off debt " or cleaning the money" thrugh a pawn shop, the owner must have known a 15k ring the minute he saw it also a fence, you know what who knows.

I feel like on the first clip she didn’t seem like she was truly sorry for what she did and was acting like she had changed just because she was following the terms of her probation. I feel like that’s why the judge wasn’t having any of it
