But the night of the suitcase, as the prosecutor said, she hit him with the bat outside the suitcase, zipped him in when he was passed out, and pushed him down the stairs. In some order. Dear court tv - do you actually watch these trials? In the Melody Farris case, all of her children were accounted for and not at home when she killed her husband. Rusty was also cleared aka not physically being there. And if you’re stuck on the physics of him getting down to the burn pile, there are a lot of plausible explanations. He may have gone outside after being shot. She may have rolled him down the hill because yes - that’s physics. He was staying in the basement that had a door that then that a steep drop down to the burn pile. Many other ways she could have done it by herself. Do you remember the piano she was lifting/moving? I have no doubt that Rusty was on the phone with her, coaching her through the “how”. Just sayin’ maybe know the case details before you say stupid stuff.

Melody Farris had awesome life, SHE was the problem in the relationship, SHE is the one that started having affairs and even abandoning her family for her affair at one point. Such a self absorbed and extremely selfish individual. She was not a good mother or wife, listening to her kids talk. For her to be able to place the blame on her own child that she gave birth to, when she knows he was not there, is so unbelievable to me, all to save her own selfish self! Sickening! It hit him so badly, he couldn’t even call her Mom anymore, he referred to her by her name! Can u imagine how you would feel! Rusty SHOULD be in legal trouble for lying! He knows that Melody told him Gary was in the burn pile, then he tried to take that back. He lied and should be in trouble for that. I think she pulled this off by her own self, I do NOT think that she had help!
@mrchips44892 күн бұрын
Melody Farris didn't need an accomplice...she shot her husband in the basement, he was wounded but didn't die. He went up the stairs (blood drops on stair case) & out the door, she pursued him, demanded he stop, he kept going, got near the burn pile & she shot him again from the back at which point, he fell face first into the burn trial. I think Sarah messed up her defence by focusing on the domestic abuse angle as that implied not letting him out of the suitcase was deliberate, and was in some way justified. It just made her look cold. What she should have done I feel is disregard the domestic abuse part and say they were mucking around and she was intoxicated and had no clue he was still in there. Put the death down to horseplay rather than part of a serious back and forth thing. Many would have believed the former, but taken a very dim view of the latter, as it transpired.

Yep suitcase Sarah got Life! No parole! She sealed her fate in her pre sentence long horrendous statements. I could not believe her ignorance. She refused a 15 year sentence in which she would have about 8 yrs left. Traded it for life. 😂

What is wrong with the American justice system? It is wrong, that you can pay you out of a crime, or a lower sentence if you have a lot of money

Is it just me or does Melody Farris’s mugshot look like Eileen Wuornos??

I thought one of them was Aileen Wurreos I’m not sure how to spell the last name but that middle photo stopped me in my tracks. I thought something new had come to light.

I got Ashley Banfield the reporter confused with Ashley Benefield!😂😂😂 I didn't follow the latter's trial and I was like the hell when I saw people saying she needs life in prison!😅😅

Maybe Farris shot her husband in the basement and he didn’t die right then. Maybe she forced him to walk upstairs and out to the fire pit.? Only other way is her son helped move him.

There's no clearer double standard. How we'll hear "What must he have done to her" and how she was "protecting herself" only ever used to justify and enable toxic women. Look at their actions, given power. Consider if the one in the suitcase "deserves it," were roles exchanged, and the abuser lacked her privilege? It'd be obviously smearing the victim, too shameful to say, and too insincere to believe. Only the obvious truth is acceptable. Self defense becomes the dishonest last refuge of deranged and abusive women. There is still no excuse for murder. We saddle male victims with the expectation that they get away from their abusers, as if the words 'controlling and manipulative narcissist' cannot apply to women. Judge them by their deeds, for their words are empty.

How’s that working for you all? Was it worth it? Ms. Boone should get jail justice.

Defendant's who are dumb or arrogant enough to take the stand, usually don't hold up on cross. I feel like those are the ones who are truly guilty but feel they can manipulate the jury.

I think there is another sentencing tomorrow the 2nd besides SB but I can’t remember. Ugh.
