Sheriff's wife had kicked Sheriff out of the house the night before (as evidenced by the fact he was not in uniform) because of what was revealed his deposition. He also knew the judge was having sex with the inmates, yet he shielded this very fact to protect him. But now his marriage is in turmoil, his daughter won't talk to him, and he can't get his friend the judge to help him out, and the judge seems poised to hang the entire scandal on him. So, when his daughter picked up the phone for the judge, and not for him, that was the ultimate betrayal and that's when he lost it.

I just saw a brand new video from Banfield on Courtv. It was audio of a woman talking to a detective, she sounded pretty shaken up and said she's seen videos of Judge Mullins having sex with girls in exchange for letting them out on a bail. She confirmed many times that it was Mullins in his own chambers. I've heard that Stine's daughter was interning at the courthouse for school credit. I don't know if that's been confirmed or not but I wonder if maybe he said something to her about not giving her the credit unless.... Or something similar, just because of Stine's calling his daughter from the judge's phone right before he shot him. I think we're finally gonna start getting some pieces to the puzzle now.

I bet he wanted the judge to help him with this case. The judge said NO your on your own. You’re in charge over these matters. The judge has to stay partial and stay out of what’s going on.
