Kathleen Bell is/was very irrelevant in this trial. '85 she sees MF thru the recruiting window & makes inquiries about him? They never dated. Offended at their 2nd Convo yet she goes to Hennessey's bar where she knows he goes? He shows up w/another woman then reports his language to the PD? Fast forward '95 she injects herself into the trial by calling the News, Shapiro, Cochran, writes a letter, witness for defense & hires her own lawyer? Ridiculous. I think she's a bored & rejected gossip.

Without Fuhrman they might've gotten a hung jury. But the prosecution made a mistake in jury selection thinking that black women would sympathize with Nicole because of the beatings OJ gave her. When in fact it was the opposite. They saw her as a gold digger who 'took' one of the few successful black men in that community who was living in the rich white neighborhoods so there was a considerable amount of contempt and jealousy. Johnnie understood the racial makeup of the jury and how to play to their emotions. The line Darden gives from the miniseries sums it up perfectly - "you only wanted a black face on this team - you never wanted a black voice".

Let's get real here for a moment. Fuhrman was a street cop first in the roughest of the roughest neighborhoods. You had to be extremely tough to survive that kind of life. Did he say some racist things? Absolutely but then I am sure 99% of the population does behind closed doors, he was just foolish enough to have it all tape recorded for a screenplay. It still doesn't change the fact that OJ butchered two innocent people to death and no, Mark Fuhrman did not plant a glove in this case. That would have been impossible for him to do given that he wasn't the first officer on the seen at Bundy and all of the officers testified under oath to seeing only one glove and because we live in the real world and not the world of far fetched conspiracies it's evident Fuhrman did his job correctly in the OJ crime scene investigation. As for F Lee Bailey he got disbarred in disgrace shortly after this trial so he wasn't as great as some people think he was.

Pride is always greatest before the fall. While I do believe Fuhrman has many more racist thoughts than they downplayed here, he had a perfect chance to say "you know, I MAY have used that word in frustration at times and I'm not proud of it" and it would've been much easier to believe him about not planting evidence - which he obviously didn't do. But Bailey had frustrated him by making wild and baseless accusations earlier in cross so Fuhrman was salty inside and wanted to show Bailey up. This is exactly what Bailey wanted because then his pride got in his way and he made the emphatic statement about never using racial language when that was obviously a lie. I've said it before about him - it's very possible to be a bad person morally but be a good cop who will follow procedure. Fuhrman is such a person.

Simpson pulled up to the Rockingham gate, went to go in his house, looked over at the Ashford gate, saw the limo/driver waiting, panicked and went to go in thru the back door by going on the path behing the guest houses. Its pitch black back there and he walks right into the A/C unit and drops the glove. Thats the sound Kato hears on his wall. Simpsons goes back to go inside. The limo driver sees simpson coming from the garage area and almost at the exact same time, he also sees kato walking from the other side with a flashlight to investigate what he heard. And there goes your ignorant planted glove theory. Fuhrman did an excellent job that night. It was the 2 "star" cops Lange and Van Atter who made mistake after mistake. Just stupid stuff. F. Lee Bailey has a history of getting murderers out of trouble-Dr. Sam Sheppard comes to mind. He willingly played the ''bad guy'' in confronting Fuhrman because he himself was white. As for Sheppard's guilt, watch the ''They Got Away With Murder'' episode on the case. I have no respect for Bailey, nor for Barry Scheck and his so called ''Innocence Project'' who often make money by questioning guilty verdicts based on untested DNA found at crime scenes, even when there's no doubt as to the perpetrator. As for Detective Lange, he failed to get the bloody fingerprint on the back gate collected, so he's just covering his butt for his failures by blaming Fuhrman for the cop novel ideas/narration he was giving to the female ''screenwriter''.

Fuhrman still off balance about law and rights, the job of a defense attorney is to defend to the maximum his client within the law which he did. Also Fuhrman says how can they use the race card when their client is guilty as sin, he forgets police gather evidence and a judge and or jury decides guilt, not the detective. The judge allowed a little bit too much leeway in the types of questions and the racial remarks of Fuhrman 10 years before, the glove was 1 of over 100 pieces of evidence that linked OJ to the crime, but with theatrics anything can happen... believe the US was bombing Yugoslavia at that time illegally.

OJ was grateful for Mark Furhman...he alone got OJ off with his hatred and racism. He isn't even denying it on this series. He is actually acting as he is a victim. Its quite humorous. There is no telling how many black victims he has himself. There are so many guys like him in the US. Smh.

Why don’t you ask the black man who was freed from prison because of his diligent efforts to reopen his case!!!
