My covert narcissist told me he loved me in 6 weeks, then begged me to tell him I loved him too. I refused and explained I didn’t throw that word around. He brought it up constantly tell me you love me, tell me you love me for weeks afterward. Eventually, I did say it just to put an end to the begging. As awful as it has been to recover from the discard and as much as I have longed for him, now that the fog is lifting, I can’t really say I ever really loved him. It was more of an addiction.

It was shocking to be discarded, finding out he was scheming his disappearance for several years, never intending to be loyal to his marriage. Cruelest person I have ever met. 🚩

I was married to a covert narcissist for 12 1/2 years, and then reconnected with an old boyfriend after that, and come to find he out is an overt narcissist. But I didn't know till after I left the second one. I have been no contact now for 4 years with the 1st one and over a year with the second one. Each situation was a nightmare.

They will always be trying to destroy your life after you are free from a sentence with a covert narc! Still after 10 years my ex husband still sabotages relationships I’m in with his manipulation, slanders me all over, calls me in for such outrageous lies I’m surprised they are believed. One thing to remember, you attract this type of personality! Do not settle for the abuse even in the slightest!

My narcissistic alcoholic ex husband is continuing to be the monster he is trying to coparent with him is impossible. He manipulates every situation to cause a fight. He doesn’t think in his delusional grandiose mind that rules and laws don’t apply to him so he doesn’t abide by parenting plan thus setting me off on purpose . It only costs him more money for lawyers to constantly remind the 5 year old he is to behave or he gets a time out

Cristina Magurean I did just that and he upped his game to next level , he is relentless now but I have an escape plan soon , he knows something is going on so now the cycles of abuse are so much quicker. One minute love bombing the next sulking or crocodile tears Or raging stepped up the gas lighting too and started stealing my family photos and shoes and cut up my money lied about it all he wants me to think I’m going crazy I have such intense brain fog I’m starting to believe it

They can also be both I have learned this type is the most dangerous. E. Husband of 23yrs was diagnosed NPD bot overt and covert. Our therapist told me I g im living with him get out run. Also told me he's deadly as far as I go.
