I failed my CPAP about five years ago. They then gave me a dental device,which I also failed. Maybe with the new machines I could have some luck. I am in bad shape nightly.

Most doctors have rather unsophisticated ways of treating apnea. But considering how bad it is for you and how bad you feel when not treating it, keep looking for solutions. Sometimes mouth taping can be part of the solution, or switch between different kinds of masks nasal vs full face, or sometimes you have problems breathing freely through your nose that needs to be treated, or maybe you simply need BiPap instead of cpap.

Hi, what type of exhale valve do you use, cause I see your videos and I do not hear any noise, mine makes a lot of noise.

My exhalation valve is called a whisper valve. Please note, I am using a microphone in the video and also edit the audio to eliminate the sound of the ventilator and exhalation noise as much as possible.

I was on CPAP back in 2015 and now I might have to go back on it again. I didn't like it much then and odds are I'm not going to like it again this time around. What I'd like to get is a tabletop pulse oximeter but the only places that sell them appear to be medical supply stores at least online. Does a physician have to specifically order a tabletop pulse oximeter unit or can anyone order it online themselves?

When you got your tracheostomy.. did you get frustrated from coughing and alot of mucus to fill all the oceans of the world 🌎.. I at times I want to just rip out my tracheostomy. How do you cope??

Hello. I am so sorry you are having so many symptoms with your trach. Have you tried using a different size trach tube? My tracheostomy does not cause that many issues. When I first got my trach, my trach was too long and was digging into my trachea. That caused me to cough a lot and have a lot of mucus. I was switched to a smaller sized trach. My original trach tube was a size 8. I went down to a size 7. That immensely helped. I also have switched tracheostomy tubes. The regular Shiley trach tubes caused a lot of irritation to my airways. The PVC the trach tube was made from was very rigid and made me cough. I now use a different Shiley tube which is made from polyurethane. Polyurethane is flexible and moves with my trachea. Perhaps switching trach tubes or trying a smaller sized trach tube may help reduce the amount of mucus your airways produce.

@@LifewithaVent I have gone from a size 7 was not long enough. It caused inflation to my windpipe.. I had it replaced 5 times and two surgeries whent to a size 5, but this time it was longer all was well for about 3 weeks. Back to the hospital.. it was to small.. now have a long tube number 6...so far so good but still alot of mucus..I will talk to my throat doctor about the other Shelley tube you mentioned. Glad I found this channel I also have tracheostomy. what model is your tracheostomy is it cuffed? is it fenestrated. can you send me model number or some link with information about your tracheostomy tube? I have soft silicone tracheostomy tube and I am thinking of switching to fenestrated because. because I want to be able speak order to speak all day but I can't deflate cuff for long, out of fear of saliva getting into lungs, but I still hesitate because I couldn't find fenestrated tube that is soft. also what brand is that thing around your neck tying tracheostomy? how should I search it on the internet? my tracheostomy is tied to my neck with laces that untie over time and cause tube to move. sorry for so many questions there is not a lot things available in my country so I have to order things on the internet.

I have exactly the same bivona tube. so you deflate it to speak for how long do you deflate it? for hours or minutes? is something getting into lungs while it is deflated? I have some fear deflating it for long. I have muscular distrophy. does your condition cause weakening of muscles? what is it called?

@@nugzarmikeladze ​ Hello. My medical condition is called Mitochondrial Disease. It is under the umbrella of muscular dystrophy. My respiratory muscles are weak. I deflate my cuff for as long as I need to speak. I can leave it deflated until I start developing respiratory distress. With weak breathing muscles, it is hard for me to maintain my breathing needs without full respiratory support. I used to be able to talk for several hours with the cuff deflated, but as my disease has progressed, my ability to breathe without full respiratory support has decreased. Nothing gets into my lungs while the cuff is deflated.
