I was confused in the first half as to who was actually flying the plane, by the sounds of it so was the plane with the dual inputs callout.

I liked this video, especially the part where the first officer cranked the gear down. One thing came to mind was the captain asking for another cycle of landing gear to fix the problem and then a new problem made me think if it's not broke don't fix it :) Thanks for posting this entertaining video guys.

Yeah there was clearly a problem with the gear, if it is down and locked, leave it. You have already decided to land. All that you can do is possibly have another failure.

So scary actually. We just had this emergency on an A330 200 last Friday night. We circled around for. ~1.5 hrs and gladly landed safely. There was a whole emergency crew along the runway.

How similar is the cockpit layout of an A330 compared to an A320?

Its very similar. Its just the case of cockpit size really thats a tad different.

I dont think they are type rated as they were not standard on callouts , no fma read ,no proper decession and comuications , no proper judgment ,no trk/fpa for x wind t/o , autopilot disconnection was clicked once and. The fwc was silenced by pressing the master caution . Airbus dont call the levers throttle its called thrust lever The breifing was not done well , i think this video is made for fun purpose. no dialogue between the two, when clearin ecam actions they should confirm their intention to clear it before and check thet they agree, dual inputs, not good english and no qrh reference... I don't know, i would send them back to a tecnam (the one they use) or a cessna before letting them try an a320. they didn't even turn off the flight directors and and performed any kind of cheklist
