i feel like i'm cheating on Tofutti every time I buy Daiya cream cheese. Tofutti was the first, and only vegan cream cheese for soooo long. But Daiya's cream cheese is amazing. you gotta try it! This is an awesome recipe. I made a fish sandwich with the Gardein fillet's last week with some vegan tartar sauce. OMG! I can't wait to try your recipe!

ur right. Daiya cream cheese is a little on the sweet side. But to me, the texture is good. The last time I had Tofuttie cream cheese, it was super thick and had a grainy texture. But it's been a while. Now I did recently have Tofuttie American Slices. Those were really good. Sorry. I'm not much help. I suggest you catch the Daiya cc on sale, and give it a whirl:-)

I am a vegan and happily promote vegan alternatives, but the tofutti cream cheese is not one. This is because the secondary ingredient is hydrogenated soybean oil which is terrible for our health as is all trans fats. Tofutti does make a trans fat free cream cheese so choose that one instead. Many don't realize this so please check to make sure before purchasing.

And I thought that maybe Duncan would be able to help me out with something. As a Swedish vegan I am recommended a B12 supplement, do you take one? Our do you get all of that nutrition from nutritional yeast? (We don't have that here). Keep up the great work!

What's up with no nutritional yeast in Sweden? Maybe if it was rebranded as "yummy cheesy sprinkle" it would be available in more places.
