I'll never forget the first time hearing Cradle Of Filth on a bootleg VHS tape in 1992 Tallahassee, FL. A friend who was a hardcore tape, vinyl and VHS collector at the time had a bootleg VHS tape of early Cradle of Filth live show from late 1991 or early 1992. I had already been a long time Mercyful Fate fan as well as Bathory and Celtic Frost so this was right up my alley. Been a fan for over 31 years.

Cradle of Filth are actually one the best contemporary dark-wave bands in the world. I'll never forget the first time I heard them. Changed my life. Blew my mind. I was lucky I discovered them when I did! Because it was around that time that things started to go wrong for me at work. I don't know what happened. Suddenly, people just weren't returning my calls. In my strategy meetings, they'd seemed distracted. Distant. I couldn't put my finger on it but something was wrong. I'll tell you. It was good to have the Filth to come home to after another disappointing day.

im 41 and watched Hellraiser for the first time last week (too scared by the video cover to ever rent it as a kid). Couldnt believe it when pin head said oh no tears please' - literally jumped and shouted THATS FROM HER GHOST IN THE FOG!!! lol. Also 'Midian'is an album namei believe and the name of the monster world in Clive barkers follow up film Nightbreed

@@synthrich1 obviously extremely dated so some of the monster effects are bad, but alot of it remained very gory and hard to watch (chains diggin into flesh etc). I already knew the synopsis so i was aware of the main plotline of the wife providing kills (blood) for the brother. What surprised me was how little the cenobytes are in it and how fascinating that part of the story is. Definitely wanted to learn more about them and why/what their deal is. i see there were like 7 films made so im hoping they go into more detail on the cenobytes but i suspect the quality is probably going to go down.

@@MrGaxar the 2nd and 3rd films are excellent, especially for backstory and looking at the cenobites. Even 4 & 5 are pretty good. After that there’s a few where the studio had a story and dropped pinhead into it.

офигенно ! Первый клип Кредлов, который я увидел. Блин, это был 2001 год и мне тогда 13 лет только исполнилось. Смотрел я значит поздним вечером телевизор, шла музыкальная передача где крутили клипы только металл групп и вот вдруг поставили его. Я был просто в восторге, смотрел слушал и не дышал, сердце колотилось так, что готово было выпрыгнуть из груди. Как только видео закончилось, я от переизбытка эмоций просто не мог устоять на месте, мурашки по спине бегали. Ну а потом мне дали послушать альбом Midian и я просто влюбился в эту группу. Жаль что с 2004 они уже совсем по другому играют, нет той первобытности и брутальности.

fuckin a. it was like pulling teeth trying to find a metal chick that wasnt homeless or fat. ended up with a stripper that was fun but man, you may get a hot one but they arent right in the head after a few years. 97-03 was some good years especially for live shows in downtown seattle, including cradle at the showbox in 03

My friend gave me a mix tape (yes I'm old) with this song on it. I'd never heard CoF before but I wore that tape out rewinding it over and over. That was 20 years ago, and CoF has been my favourite band ever since. I'm also lucky enough to have seen them live a couple of times. Thank you for being so F***ING awesome.

21 years since this masterpiece reached the light of the world and still ever offering more than 99% music of today! And damn I miss that line-up. Paul Allender (guitar), Gian Pyres (guitar), Robin Graves (bass), Martin Powell (synths/keys), Adrian Erlandsson (drums). Robin Graves was that typical man you really need to have in a band for his dark image. Yeah, at that time it might be like there were plenty of guys like him on scene but somehow he was that element "must have in band" and same for Adrian and Paul as they all looked like one in this video what made it look a bit more sinister /evil than usually. I will love this song and video until my last breath.

Yeah, you are right. Robin, Adrian and Paul literally looked the same back in the day. In recent times -- Adrian is drumming for At The Gates, Paul is working as a truck driver and Robin, being the youngest member of Cradle at the time, vanished from the music scene completely.

Cradle of Filth one of the best to ever do it and severly underrated and slept on ...One of the most beaitifully intricatley artistic and extremly talented black metal groups of all time you can feel the duality of your inner darkness being expressed in a positivly charge to add balance to our souls..its theraputic to me i feel better after i listen to Cradle of Filth its like a balanced peace and fullnes energy once ive finally fed the beast within ..hard to explain and the way they put the beauty with the darkness choruss, melodic, Dani filth one of the most talented vocalist how he puts whispers,voices, growls and voice screetching like a Demon flying out of hell...Blown away eversince principles of evil made flesh ...refreshing to this day
