@@Grimeyhoob They should stick to writing in their own language as the lyrics just do not make sense in English. They certainly havent a patch on Cradle of Filth's lyrics - which as far as lyrics go in general are some of the best ever written, and not strictly within the genre of Metal either. Say what you want about Dani being a poser, his voice sounding like a cat being raped and the music not being Black Metal (which I dont think they'd dispute), Dani's a *MASSIVELY* talented Poet and lyricist. Show any scholar of the English language worthy of the very name Dani's lyrics (without the music or his onstage/theatrical image/persona) and they'll agree too, I can almost guarantee you that. I know this is a relatively old Dimmu song (I actually bought this album when it came out which proved to be the first and last Dimmu album I'd buy) so maybe their English has improved by now, I dont know. I hope so, because as I said - it just doesnt make sense, or it lacks the substance of imagery and basic poetic devices and just appears hollow to me. Credit where credits due - I like the music though; its well orchestrated and the muscians thenselves are geninely talented. Those background vocals sound INCREDIBLE. Doesnt one of their guitarists play for Cradle now though?

To me It was always a maner of venting about the Human condition, but i being in the school choir for all my life i can also Appreciate the musical ability and the use of Orchestras and choirs and the ultimately the Harmonization of it all! My aunt who was a nun would piss me off at my house so in my most mature response I would play this on the big screen getting the best response you can get from a overboard religious nun so I was then sent to a religious weekend retreat where I smoked a ton of weed and became enlightened The End.

The battle raged on and on Fuelled by the venom of hatred for men Consistently, without the eyes to see By those who revel in sewer equally We, the prosperity of the future seal Cloaked by the thunders of the north wind Born to capture The essence of the trails of our kind Zero tolerance must be issued forth Behind the enemy's line So it shall be written And so it shall be done Zero tolerance must be issued forth Behind the enemy's line So it shall be written And so it shall be done The battle raged on and on Fuelled by the venom of hatred for men Consistently, without the eyes to see By those who revel in sewer equally We, the prosperity of the future seal Cloaked by the thunders of the north wind Born to capture The essence of the trails of our kind Discover and conceive the secret wealth And pass it unto your breed Become your own congregation Measure the sovereignty of its invigoration We, who not deny the animal of our nature We, who yearn to preserve our liberation We, who face darkness in our hearts with a solemn fire We, who aspire to the truth and pursue its strength Are we not the undisputed prodigy of warfare Fearing all the mediocrity that they possess? Should we not hunt the bastards down with our might Reinforce and claim the throne that is rightfully ours? Consider the god we could be without the grace Once and for all Diminish the sub principle and leave its toxic trace Once and for all
