Hey Ron, I'll give it a shot. Back around the end of 1999 I was helping a friend get his motorhome ready for Biketoberfest in Fla. While I was under it, the leveling system failed and dropped an entire Holiday Rambler on me. I don't remember much after that other than the fact I broke some ribs, lost a lot of skin as the motorhome bounced on me, and sheared off that little bone (acromion tip) at the end of my shoulder. Without that tip, all the tendons and muscles get too much slack and you lose the entire use of your arm. So, surgery and a six month recovery/rehab with instructions NOT to do anything with the arm or it would never work again. As I sat here one January day watching the snow build up in the driveway I wondered how my wife would ever manage to handle the snowblower. Once the storm ended, I heard the noise and looked out my window. Every one of my neighbors with a snow blower had arrived and did my driveway before even starting on their own. Sue never had to start our snowblower the entire winter. I don't cry easily. No tears when either of my parents died, but that first day watching my neighbors act of kindness I wept like a child.

Ron, you are an amazing person! I first started watching your channel because I was amazed with the huge wreckers and their abilities, but I have stayed around because I am totally impressed with you. You show kindness, compassion and patience in everything you do and are an inspiration to me. Thank you for all you do. As for good deeds done for me, I can’t think of any. Which means I need to pay closer attention.

Ron, as an atheist I really respect your deep faith. You show it in your actions. It is easy to speak about doing good deeds, but much harder to go out and do them. You go out and do them! It shows in all your videos where you take care and earned pride in your work. The time you take to educate your employees and even the people that you are rescuing. I wish you, your family, and company the best in 2024. Many years ago, I was driving home from work, it was snowing just enough to coat the roads. I misjudged my stopping and just dropped the front tires off the end of the pavement. A kindly African-American gentleman, probably around forty, pulled up a few minutes later and helped me out.

I experienced a kindness shown to me just this week. I am known as the "Crazy Cat Lady ". I have 16 rescue cats in my house. Monday I went to my veterinarian and got an estimate for surgeries for a couple of cats. It was a substantial amount. Upon arriving home, I picked up the mail and there was an envelope addressed to the "Crazy Cat Lady ". Inside was an unsigned card and a $100.00 bill! God is good!!

Ron, you lead by example. You and your co-workers are always calm, professional, and looking to go the extra mile to help people who need it. The service you got from Fire Salt is no more than you would have done were the roles reversed. May you continue to be able to help people for many years to come.

Hi Ron, Thanks for wanting to spread more kindness in this world, we have a real shortage of that. As for my story I'll never forget, first time writing about this and only a handful of people in my life know this: We go back to when I was around 16 years old and had a horrible time being alone, unseen and bullied in school on a certain night I was ready to end it all, was walking up a bridge ready to to jump off, no one around to see (quiet town and it was around 10pm in the darkness of winter) and just a couple of meters short of the highest point where I would jump off a random guy appeared on a bicycle - he must have seen something in my facial expression because he jumped off his bike and started talking to me. We sat there and talked for almost an hour, and he gave me a ride back into town at the end of it. Now, 23/24 years later still every time I have a bad day I think back to that moment, sadly only know his first name and that he was traveling to a town about 30 kilometers (~19 miles) away and never saw him again but that random encounter is the sole reason I'm here today.

This is the very reason why I subscribe and watch Ron. November of 2021 I got covid and was hospitalized. In June of the same year I had surgery and was off work for 6weeks, so I had no sick time. So the whole time I was of work with COVID I didn't get paid. When I came back to work in December, my co workers had got together and took up a collection for me and my family. Now this is the real miracle and movement of God in this story. The dollar amount of the collection we received was the exact amount to the dollar that I would have been paid for the time I was off. Thank you again Ron for your amazing channel.

Ron, I have enjoyed every video for the last three years since finding your channel. Your business ethics, your faith in Jesus Christ, your kindness with those you are recovering their vehicles is why I consider your company the best in the business. It was several years ago, following a big snow storm that dropped over a foot of snow and I couldn’t get my plow up the mountain to get my daughter plowed. My neighbor drove by and stopped to talk to me and a little while later he shows up with a skid loader and clears 600 feet of driveway and wouldn’t take any money. He was truly a blessing

Hi, Ron. You asked what someone else has done for me and I have to say that you are someone that has done something fantastic for me... you are a teacher. I have watched you for years now and I am always blown away by the way you care for the people that you help. Whenever you arrive on scene the first thing you want to know is how the operator is. Or when you come up on a trucker whose rig has broken down and you comfort them and show them that everything will be OK. I remember a trucker whose rear end went out and not only did you tow him but you also stopped to get fuel for his refer and took him to a hotel. When I "ride along" with Midwest it's not about the recovery or the tow, it's about the people... helping people, and making them feel a bit better. And I watch these videos and I find that I'm applying that people-first mentality to my interactions with my customers now. I operate a one-man repair service... you break it and I fix it. I had a single mom with four kids and limited means have her washer go down. She was so worried because it was a struggle for her to keep her head above water and trips to a laundromat were not in her budget. So when I found all this out I wondered "What would Ron do" so I fixed the washer and told her I'd send her a bill... and I never sent that bill. I was thrilled that I was able to help her when things looked really bleak and I learned that from you. It was more important to help her than to make a buck. In conclusion, I just want to give you a great big hug and say thank you for opening my eyes and teaching me that helping others is always job one! And as always, "Hello ladies and gentlemen, and as always thank you for watching!"

And just recently a friend payed for my trip back home to see my brother who’s health had deteriorated since I left home, and payed for my hotel room for a week, just a couple months ago my brother passes, 2 weeks before Christmas. Hello Ron. I was in Mexico on vacation and became seriously ill. I ended up having to have emergency surgery. In the process I was in need of 2 units of blood. Having a rare blood type there was absolutely none available. My doctor knowing this and having compatible blood donated his own blood to be processed and transferred to me thus helping to save my life. It eventually took almost a year for me to mostly recover.

Ron this video was very heart warming, talking about kindness I'm a disabled veteran I don't receive all but 10% on VA and on SSI 2023 I was at a restaurant eating as I was finishing my meal to go pay for it the waitress told me that a couple seen I was a veteran and they kindly paid for my meal the couple told the waitress that they wanted to show that they appreciated my service and if it wasn't for us veterans we wouldn't have the freedom that we have unfortunately I didn't get to tell the couple how much I appreciated them doing that because they had left the restaurant before I seen them to tell them thank you so from that point on I recently let an an undisclosed amount of money with a cashier at a convenient store told the cashier only help pay for someone's things if they were in need. So paying it forward helped me to feel good since someone did it for me you never know sometimes how much a little thing like that made me feel there's still good people in this world there's just not enough of it. Ron I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your thoughts and this video.

7:00 Hi Ron. I try to do something good for my passengers every day as a bus driver. I have the attitude that if I do something good for someone else, I will get it back. Only people think they should get that back from that same person. But no, it can also come back through someone else and in any form. We must keep smiling and help those in need. And it doesn't always have to involve money or goods. Just a helping hand can be worth a lot to someone. Going out with an older person because they can no longer do it themselves. And there are many ways to help people. Enjoy the little things in life!

Last year I had just moved to a new city, was no longer in contact with any of my friends, at a new workplace and really struggling with some intense heavy things going on in my life. I felt alone and like I was just barely holding on. I had to talk to someone. My coworker was there for me, listened and accepted me as I was, when I felt no one else was there for me, even myself. I'm now making good friends, discovering my worth and value, and learning how to show myself the love and care I haven't known like this up until now. The change was within me already, but they offered the environment and space to learn to love myself, and to grow. They were there to be supportive and accepting, and it has meant so much to me.

One thing I have learnt, there is value in even small gestures. Around 15yrs ago I would take my daughter to the bus exchange for her to attend a course and we would pick up a coffee on the way. One day we got to the coffee shop and put in our order and were told "No charge" as a previous customer had given them $50 to cover the following customers till it ran out. We were so elated to get free coffees, it carried all through that day and beyond. Telling this now shows I will never forget that small but very significant gesture. You really are an inspirational human Ron.

You are so respectful to less experienced drivers who didn't make the best decisions and got themselves into a predicament. You don't make fun of them, but rather try to help them calm down and let them know that stuff happens. Thanks for sharing old photos. Made me sad all over again for the loss of your dad. I knew you were one of the Good Guys just from the way you treat others you’re getting out of jams. People sometimes forget that even in a hard nosed for profit business that kindness goes a long way towards furthering success. Last year this time my wife and I were living in a small trailer with propane heat. I took the tanks to the local Ace Hardware to refill them but when I got to the register my card didn’t work. While I was calling my wife to see if one of our other cards would work, the clerk took out her own card and paid for it. I was so surprised that I asked her “are you allowed to do that?”. Her manager, who I hadn’t noticed come up, said “yes, she’s allowed to do that”. Since then we have paid that back as you suggested by buying stranger’s meals and groceries. Got to share that kindness.

Hi Ron and family, I have watched your channel for some time now. Some of the video's I enjoyed the most had your Dad in them, which after watching this video had an idea immediately pop into my head. Times have been difficult and when people stuggle financially they tend to neglect vehicle maintenance and repairs can be overwhelming, so my idea is crate a foundation in your fathers name that can assist those with fixed income with automotive needs. This is something viewers can donate towards and can be used for emergencies or maybe even preventive maintenance, viewers or contrbutors can purchase oil changes and such for someone who is on a fixed income and is struggling. It is also something that will honor your father, I never meet him or any of you in person or at all for that manner but based on what I've seen in videos I feel this is something your Dad would do to help those in need. Just an idea I wanted to share, God bless.

It doesn't have to be something that "saves you" in a time of dire need, although it is truly a great blessing when that happens. I commented above that someone simply offered to help me carry some packages, and it made my entire night. Everyone wants to do (or receive) something big or monumental, but discount the small, but equally meaningful things. I try to humble myself and recognize and appreciate the little things people do for me. People forget just how far a kind gesture can go.

Ron, my son and I lost his dad and my husband in 2004. My boss was extremely supportive. The day my husband passed away (afternoon), at noon my boss asked me if I was going to the hospital (my car was in the shop) so I didn't have transportation. My boss told me he just thought I should go, so he drove me to the hospital at noon, then picked me up around 1:00 p.m. On the way back to the office, he stopped and got a couple of Frosties. We had not been back at the office for even an hour when the call from the hospital came. He told me to drop everything, drove me back to the hospital, went to pick up my son (he said he didn't want my son to drive at such an emotional time) . The next day, my boss deposited money in my bank account to help with the "extra expenses" he knew we were going to have. Then, in 2017, when Hurricane Irma came up the Florida Peninsula, he checked on us at the Hurricane Shelter, picked my son up and drove him out here to our home in the country to check on our home (praise God we had NO damage), drove my son to an auto rental (our car chose that moment to have a problem (LOL!). There are just so many things that he did, true acts of kindness and caring that we appreciated more than words can ever express and that would take far too much time here. Those acts of kindness will never be forgotten!

Ron, you are such a kind person to add positive thoughts to your videos. You are right, there so negativity in this world so I’m going to share with you what happened to me. We recently had 8” of snow and as I was getting ready to go start my snowblower, my neighbor called and asked if mine was gassed up and ready to go. I replied yes I was just getting ready to go start it and clear off my driveway. He stated that his snowblower kept getting clogged up due to the snow was wet. Thought maybe a belt was slipping. I let him borrow my snowblower. He cleared off my driveway and sidewalk along with his driveway. Couple years ago he repaired my snowblower without charging me a dime. and told him he was always welcome to use it anytime. I have really good neighbors and Thank God for them every day. I was so happy I was able to help him in return. Thank you for what you do Ron.

After the passing of my second husband, my best friend of over 50 years helped me pack up and clean up both of my deceased husbands and my deceased sons things and move it all to storage when I sold my property. I was in a very deep depression and was just sitting in my home dying, she saved my life, actually saved my life. I was actively letting myself die and she wouldn’t let me. Took me into her home and loved me back to life. That’s the most generous and unconditional thing anyone has ever done for anyone in my history. Thank you Joanne, you are my best friend, my sister and the other half of my soul. I have always and will always continue to treasure her. ❤ Ron, I hope this is the kind of story you are looking for. I love your videos so thank you as well, keep up the love and keep the faith. 😊

Ron, you helped me to focus more on safely at my job As a CDL driver myself, I ALWAYS check what I'm driving and notify my supervisor of any problems to the mechanics to fix it. Mainly I drive a street sweeper in my town and mainly I have one resident who respect what I do. And this past Christmas, he gave me $100 for doing a great job all the time, and he helped me buy my own gift around that time

Also not religious but I feel your love for people in need and completely respect where you are coming from; Once I got a ride from a total stranger in a small town in PA to go pick up a part for my truck. My and my buddy were coming home from a camping trip and had a trailer with all the gear and dirtbikes, etc... this guy dropped what he was doing and gave me a ride almost 30 miles away and back to get a part. Ever since then, I have tried to purchase maple syrup he makes and have always remembered his kindness. Thanks for doing all you do for people in need!

I'm a long time viewer, Always appreciate how you start off most recoveries with prayers and good wishes for those involved and hope there were no injuries. Being a Coast Guard Vet, I really love how careful and safety first minded you are, some might think it's overkill, but tow truck driver is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, " everyone goes home when we're done ". You're always kind and professional to first responders, law enforcement, and always to your customers. I have a few times I can remember when people have helped me out for no other reason then it's the right thing to do. I guess an appropriate event I could mention was, I'm driving back to base in Virginia and it was snowing. They don't get much snow in VA and they did no plowing of the highway. I'm in my little Mazda Pick-up truck and slid right off the shoulder into the embankment. Small light truck, not much power, tiny tires on that thing, I was stuck. I'm out there in the cold, shoveling with a small camping shovel I kept in the truck and a guy with a F250 pulls up behind me. " get in your truck, put in reverse when I tell ya, don't give it any gas " he hooks up a tow line to my little hitch and slowly pulls me out. I get out to hand him a few bucks and he's like NO WAY , I saw your USCG Decal on your bumper, we're good , and he unhooked and pulled away. It would have taken me at least an hour to dig thru that mud and grass. I was taught by Mom and Dad to live by the golden rule and to always be a good kind person. God Bless You and Ethan, Your family and your excellent crew. ❤🎸🌄

One time I was going thru a drive-thru at one of the well known restaurants. I put in my order & when I got to the drive thru window the person behind the window said the person in the vehicle in front of me paid for my order. I didn't recognize the vehicle & they left before I could thank them. Another time I was in a checkout line at a well known store. There was an elderly lady in front of me that was short in money to pay for her groceries. She was searching for something to put back because she couldn't afford to pay for it all. I gave the lady checker the money to finish paying for the elderly ladies groceries. She thanked me for doing that for her. It felt so good to do that for her. U & ur family & ur crew are so blessed in many ways. It shows in everything u all do just on ur daily job. May God always bless u all.

Good morning Ron. My story began back in October 2023 I was told by my eye doctor that my cataract were so bad I needed surgery on both eyes to remove them. I had made arrangements to have the surgery and everything fell through nothing that day went well with me that day I had the feeling that I should just leave everything and run away. The reason I stayed put was I make weekly food donation to the local food bank. The head worker at the food bank noticed I was not the same cheerful self I told her what happened and she took on herself to make sure I got to my eye surgery for both eyes this was a 100 mile round trip each time. She stopped at Sam's club I picked up a Santa cookie jar to say thanks.

My husband didn’t want come with me so he said home, he had lost both of his legs below the knee. But I was so blessed by Christian family and friends and regular family they gave me money, cloths, brought food, and the preacher of our church even paid for my husbands funeral. I was so blessed. Then four months later we lost our mom. God bless you and your family for what y’all do. Prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

This winter he brings in wood for my stove and has gotten groceries for me during this snow storm that is going on right now. I’m not able to walk very well since having Covid. I just appreciate all of his help, and he won’t take any compensation. There are truly good people in this world. God bless you and your family. I love your pictures of the trucks. My dad used to have a fleet of trucks so I enjoy seeing them. He used to have KW and Peterbilts. He has gone to be with the Lord now so they brought back good memories. Thank you!

I’m currently working on becoming a firefighter and I am also hoping that I can start something that will help people who’ve lost their vehicles in accidents or just can’t afford to get it repaired. I know you said you did a go fund me for Mrs Ayers. I would like to do that but on a bigger scale for anyone that needs the help and assistance. Thank you Ron for all of your great videos, and God Bless To You Too!

I love this Ron! Your faith and kindness are a big part of the reason we watch your channel. Last year, our church planned a tour of Israel for April 2024. Although a bucket list item for me, I knew it was something I wanted to share with my husband and also that we couldn’t afford for two of us to go. We thought, “next time.” Then over the summer, a friend of two decades gave us a gift that made it possible for us to be able to add to our funds to be able to go - both of us! Then, of course, the political situation there became extremely unstable, forcing a cancellation of the trip last month. My dear friend refused to accept a return of the gift. My friend said God intended us to have the gift, regardless of what we used it for. We have been blessed in so many ways. One of my favorite things is to be useful to others and kindness, as you said, is a free and simple way to make this life a better place.

Thanks for sharing another great video. I especially enjoyed the old footage of the early days of Midwest Truck And Repair towing and recovery. The challenge you have presented is really just an extension of what we see every Friday morning in your videos. Whether it is just a simple (more or less) adjustment of a shifted load, or a major accident, we always see you extending any kindness you can to the persons who are already having a less than stellar day. Every one of your viewers would have to agree that you absolutely "practice what you preach". The way you treat every customer is one of the reasons I look forward to catching your videos every Friday morning. To you, your family, your team, and all of your viewers, stay safe and healthy.

My story...I was towing my popup camper through the mountains on my way to a campground. Tunnel effect wind through a valley broadsided my popup making it sway out of control. Many drivers were hanging back except for one 18 wheeler who used his rig to block the wind so I had better chance to control my setup. He/she stayed on my side until I got everything under control again. I have no clue who this person was or even what company they worked for but they saved us.

Kindness and compassion is NEVER not a big deal and should always be appreciated. And, most of America is like that. The media and politicians only report on the 2% of the world that cause issues. We are the other 98%… big cities and small towns that are the real people and we need to be celebrated for our care for our neighbors.

Our most recent blessing story. Mrs. had a procedure last year. After confirming payment was required due to medical coding, and the code, a payment plan was agreed upon. The first installment payment was made. The second month installment was made, and a little while later it was returned with a letter saying full payment had been made. The office was called and they confirmed coding was changed and our provider would cover. I was in tears. Huge blessing. Stroll down memory lane is awesome, we enjoy your channel very much.

The most significant kindness passed to me was when my husband and I lost almost everything in our house due to a fire. Complete strangers dropped off clothing donations to my neighbors, and many co-workers I had never met (I worked in a food manufacturing facility) gave monetary donations. These are just a couple of examples of generosity we received, but it was overwhelming to be the recipient of so much kindness. "it costs nothing to be kind" I say that ALL the time! I try to pay it forward in some way every day, whether I hold the door for the person behind me, pause to allow someone pull out in traffic, or let someone with just a few items go ahead of me in the checkout line, it costs nothing to be kind!

The man in front of me in line took out a $20 bill and gave it to me for just about 13 dollars of groceries. On the way out of the store, i found my wallet. It was in my thigh pocket the whole time. I caught up the the gentleman on the way out of the store and tried to pay him back. Of course he refused to accept the money and taught me, on that day what it means to pay it forward. What a blessing. Hope everyone there is similarly blessed.

Bro Ron, I am a 90 YO man and disabled. 2years ago my wife and I were on our way home from the Dr's office. I ran over a large spike and ruined a new tire. I was struggling with the Jack when 2 black men stopped, introduced themselves, and said "Get in the car, we will handle this", removed the wheel and discovered the spare was flat. They took the wheel to a tire shop and returned with a nearly new tire and installed it on the car. I tried to pay them for the tire and their trouble. one of them said " you don't owe us, we are Master Masons doing our duty" I will never forget this act of kindness

Ron your videos are great and this I think will make them even better. Several years ago in November I had planned on bringing in and stacking my 20 face cord of firewood for the cold upstate NY winter in the coming weeks. A few days before I was going to start this I had emergency surgery to remove my appendix. All went well with the surgery but I was unable to lift anything more than a glass of water. Then on a Thursday morning my brother and several people from work (who had to take the day off)showed up at my house and moved and stacked 20 face cord of firewood in the matter of a few hours. I dont think I have ever been as thankful and grateful as I was that day.
