That was cool guys. I bet you have got over 100 landings at Scottsdale I learn to fly at phoenix sky harbor back in 1987. But Scottsdale is my homebase for a long time another airport I love going to a Sedona if you’ve never flown into Sedona, you’ve got to do that. It’s only about 90 miles north of Scottsdale. Google it if you’ve never been to donuts with the most beautiful places on this earth. The one thing I noticed about you guys is fine is everything is happening so much faster. That’s the one thing that’s the one difference to me that didn’t seem overly busy or anything it’s just the speed that jet was coming in at was amazing.

One question, in the airlines it is cheaper to use the brakes than reverse thrust, is it not the case for you guys? Carbon brakes on the a320 wear relative to applications and not force, but engines wear due to hot section and debris plus extra fuel usage.

A 3 degree glide slope at 140 it’s is a 743FPM decent rate. You may want to go back and look at my decent rate. Also the TR’s are controlled by FADEC and therefore don’t have a speed limitation. But you are correct, that is the joy of posting flying videos on the internet 😂 Thanks for watching.

Boycott KSDL! The city was partner in evicting 100 single engine and light twin aircraft. We have no alternative aircraft parking available! All the shade tie downs and tee hangars were torn down to make room for more jets!
@davidwemyss73032 жыл бұрын
That sucks, is there a published report on that, I and mine can read? If verified, our club are canceling our planned 2023 fly-in if no parking for props. Where IS parking now, besides KSDL?
@davidrumolo4222 жыл бұрын
@@davidwemyss7303 There is no report per se. It appears in city council meeting minutes. The thing that really sucks is that the airport staff lied to the city council when the new project first came up. They claimed only one row of shade tie downs would be impacted..about 10 airplanes. Getting rid of parking is described in the airport Master Plan but the plan also had some language about new parking construction. The city constructed some box hangars geared for corporate use. $1000/month is a little expensive for a Cherokee! The other area airports have long waiting lists for based aircraft There is a limited amount of parking for transient light aircraft at KSDL but the ramp is usually taken up by jets. Depending on where you are staying, Deer Valley, Glendale, or Chandler are better alternatives to KSDL. KSDL has the highest fuel prices.
@user-dm4lt1xv6y2 жыл бұрын
Your alternate parking is Falcon field, chandler airport, mesa gateway, etc. there’s plenty of other places.
@bearlemley2 жыл бұрын
It’s not the airport that causes things like this it’s the people that move next to an airport and then complain about the noise. No used to be based in Scottsdale, and I would go to the meetings where they would complain about noise. I made a written statement and delivered it to the council stating that I love the noise of the airport and I wish it was more frequent because of my love of Aviation. I also said that I moved next to an airport so I could hear aircraft land and takeoff. One point to make is that they have to collect all data and list all the reasons that people make any complaints so as they can shut down the airport. If they had more people for pro noise, pro sounds of aircraft, they would have to list that data.
@davidrumolo4222 жыл бұрын
I too moved near KSDL to be near our airplane and I love the sound and sight of airplane activity! That is what is so sad what happened. Kicking out single and light twins to make room of Net-jets et al.
