Wow. Yeah, those two cams really illustrate the 2 extremes of that curve. That sudden corner looks like it would do some serious damage to everything in the system. It's hard to believe that anything could react that fast without just exploding. Cool stuff. Thanks!

How much exhaust backpressure on the pulling engine? if it is 100psi manifold pressure, it may be quite high on the exhaust backpressure, making lighter exhaust springs ineffective to close the valve.

Ramp rate is basically the slope leading to the lobe center line, at .050" lift IIRC or whenever the valve comes off the seat. I'm sure someone will correct me.
@PowellCamsАй бұрын
There is no such thing, the "slope" u refer to is called the main event, the "ramp" is right off the bc before the main event
@rolandotillit2867Ай бұрын
@@PowellCams Different strokes for different folks. I decided to look it up, ramp rate is the slope from .050" lift or whenever the valve starts coming off the seat, to around .250" lift. Or at least that's what they call ramp rate. To you it's the main event, I can roll with that, sounds catchier.
