This is the best tutorial to make a ribbed hat without having that weird bunching in the top. It almost looks worked in the round without being worked that way. I already made one hat for my husband, and he loves it. Two family members now want one as well.

Thank you for this video! I thought I understood how to single crochet but this tutorial proved that I was missing every other stitch! I tried for hours and couldn’t understand how my rows were getting so short after I measured the chain! I got three rows in and had to frog it several times over trying to figure it out! Now I definitely won’t ever forget how to do single crochet and where to insert my next stitch. It’s 3am now and I’ve just figured out my mistake, so I’m going to start again tomorrow and I’m determined to make this hat. Tomorrow I will have a hat! I did 46 cm18.1 inches, but my top looked wider than yours. I used regular yarn to practice on, since I ordered wool and it won't get here til 15 of Dec 2023. It was fun and easy,but haven't sewn it together yet. Thanks for an easy pattern. Oh my, I'm going to do this often.

The beanie turned out beautiful. I had to change a few things because the slip stitches really made the ends really tight and hard to knit. So I used a double and single crochets to make things a bit easier. Otherwise, very clear instructions and worked really well. Thank you very much.
