Actually if you listen to his follow-up question you can tell that he's asking very poorly if Tik-Tok can connect to the other things on your Wi-Fi for example if you use Tik-Tok on your phone and your laptop is connected to the same Wi-Fi theoretically Tik-Tok could connect to your laptop it is a genuine security concern he could have worded it a little better though lol

Just get security researchers to test for it instead. Also, if that’s his “problem” with TikTok, then he’s got a thousand other Internet-of-Things devices on the market (most of which are made in China even) to grill the CEOs for first, imo. The security concern with TikTok is whether the data it legally collects (and we KNOW it collects) is being used by the Chinese government for whatever unspecified goals the US government can make up, not the bullshit he asked about. In other words, his question was stupid on so many levels.

Yeah, the Bible, especially the old testament, can be quite entertaining, like really fucked up fantasy, written by a madman (much of it was, likely). But I stand to correct you, Samson was no Christian, but a Jew. So that makes him the hebrew Achilles, or maybe Heracles with a hint of Gilgamesh. Jesus of Nazareth was the christian Samson, in a way, even though he, too was jewish. He was made into it by his cult following his death over the course of about 200 years. His supposed magical abilities stand out, still. Biggest difference: Jesus was an actual historical person, while Samson and the others mentioned were just creations of myth. Kinda sad many forgot about poor Samson, nowadays. I feel he was a fascinating character and an interesting symbol.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but for the Lord of The Ring situation, if I remember well, the Ring did affect Sam while he carried Frodo. The effects were limited due to the short length of time, but it was enough for him to be considered a Ring-bearer whose corruption could only really be healed in the Undying Lands. Hence why when Sam became old, he travelled to the Grey Havens to take the boat trip, reuniting with Frodo and the others. Edit : Spelling

My mother actually had a pet bear named Benny. They found him as a baby and he’s still alive living with I believe my great aunt. I have pictures of him with my mother as a teenager. One time someone broke into their house to steal stuff, but once he saw the bear, (Benny only wanted to play) he locked himself in the bathroom as the juvenile bear pawed at the door. I say he only wanted to play because if the intent was to kill that door wouldn’t have stopped him. He then was captured and his hair was forcibly cut by the army that was planning to murder the people of the place he lived. God abandoned him, but he asked if he was allowed to make one more wish. God agreed, and he basically wished that if he would go like this, he would be granted the strength to take everyone in that army along with him and basically just fucking destroyed that army as a hail Mary move. Your kinda correct about the cartoons. If you didn’t watch Cartoon Network growing up you may not know that CN used to share a channel with Adult Swim. It would be CN during the day and AS at night. Well there are a handful of cartoons (including Total Drama and The Amazing World of Gumball) that were actually made for AS but ended up not making the cut. So they were instead put on CN. I imagine they were edited quite a lot but a lot of the jokes still made it into the CN version.

Okay, the show at 30:47 is a TV series called Totally Spies. I bring this up because this show is NOTORIOUS for the whole "writer's poorly-disguised fetish" thing. I watched this as a kid and have since re-watched some episodes as an adult and, even as a child, it always felt weird to me how many episodes would focus on strange things happening to the girls (Sam, Alex and Clover respectively) It's *really* creepy. The girls would be kidnapped repeatedly, tied up in "predicament" bondage, they would get brain-washed, they would be experimented on... (there was an episode all three girls bodies swelled up like balloons and was just a blatant excuse for an inflation fetish 💀) Not to mention the fact that Sam, Alex and Clover are all minors.

At my company you have to have a degree to be a manager, but it doesn't matter what the degree is in. So to my company someone with a degree in underwater basket weaving (yes, I know that's not a real thing.... I think) is more qualified than someone who has worked for the company for ten years, in multiple departments, and knows most of the products. So dumb.
