Although I have not had any problems with my K1 Max I'm hoping sometime soon Creality offer a K1 Max upgrade kit, a kit that incudes the new hot-end, unicorn nozzles and belt pulleys.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I wanted to buy the K1 Max, but when the K1C was announced I decided to wait since I figured they'd release a K1C Max soon with the same upgrades. I waited and they announced the K2 Plus, so I figured that was the upgraded version, and I've preordered that now (with 50% off!). But it seems they did actually upgrade the K1 Max directly. If I had known this earlier, I might've bought the "K1C Max".

This explains it, I was quite confused when I found this unicorn nozzle in the box of my new K1 Max. Deciding what printer to buy was difficult. If I knew that the K1 Max was being shipped with these upgrades my decision process would have been a lot quicker. Very happy customer so far and the upgrades were a pleasant and very welcome surprise.

I can confirm, I bought a K1 max last week and it has the Unicorn nozzle, LiDar sensor, internal camera and the name plate on the bed. Only thing that is missing is the little wiper on the build plate.

I'm a happy owner of of one of these new "K1C Max." I got the new unicorn nozzle and the smaller pullies on the motors and the new decor plate. I'm used to this from Creality but i was pleasantly surprised because i had not heard about thia happening yet.

I have some nice upgrades on printables for the K1C, specifically a fix for the camera lockups, I also have a nice internal filter system for the K1C, also should work on the K1, I just ordered the latest version of the K1 Max and I will have a filter and chamber heater combo upgrade for that one too.

@@InventorsGarage I have on Printables already, but I'll make one specific for the K1 Max once I have it, if you search for NexGen3D on Printables you will find my work, I find that these larger printers need chamber heating, small printers not so much.

I really hope they offer an upgrade for current customers of the K1 max. Mine is the old design and vfa's arent my favorite thing. Though it seems like an extensive upgrade...

How do I know from looking at the box that it hs all the upgrades? Has the model number changed?

Nothing changed on the box as I know, the only way to know is asking the seller and trust them :/

I have facing same problems with the first layer (not over the hotbed) if not the first layer over the support. It seems to be unglued from the rest of the part. Withch parameter you recommend to manage to improve this problem, can you help me?. I'm not so new neither experimented. I'm trying to make technical parts in my K1Max.

The problem i notice, is the lack of info on creality store at AliExpress, wich shows the different options of nozzle/hotend for the same printer name, i had to replace the nozzle heater and i was almost picking the wrong one, happily i dissambled the old one first and noticed the difference. Just a question if any did it. New nozzle/heatbreaker/heater/dissipator combo, is just snap off the old model snap in the new one? Or need to change the entire extruder toolhead assembly? I noticed my k1c prints lw-pla easier than my k1max first generation, k1max gets clogged because filament gets foamed inside the heatbreaker/dissipator and goes up to the ptfe tube, and that sugest me some heat is passing to the filament on the ptfe and dissipator transition.

Hey I just received a new hot end from Creality for my K1 Max and it definitely is different. It's got the big heat sink on it now. I'll just have to pay attention to the instructions.

The funny thing is... The K1C was basically just an attempt at fixing the K1. They might as well have called it the K1C Max and charged $50 extra just to make the money and increase marketing. They still need to fix their extruder design. Give me a Qidi instead any day.

IMHO the VFA on the original Max is so bad that creality should send out the replacement parts for people that bought one recently and got the old version like myself.

Nice, but how do they differentiate the versions and settings for different diameter gears for the same model (K1 Max)?

The rotation distance will be different in the printer.cfg.

I know, but it was easy with the K1C, how do they solve a factory reset printer config parameter settings because without root you can't modify those

@@j1mmy447 I'm not sure what your asking but sounds like your asking how did the printer know which version of the firmware to install. It'll be the same as any other, there will be an identifier in the main board that matches the firmware version to the printer.

I own a K1 Max, got lured in by the sleek look. If I could make the choice again I would build another Voron instead. This printer has so many flaws that are due to cost cutting design choices it not funny. It's a cheap ass printer with a premium price tag. Challenge yourself and build a Voron people. It's not that hard. By the time you have spent money modding the K1's to be a half way decent printer it will cost you as much as a Voron anyway.
