Elaine, I have always wanted to know how to make this dish!!! Thank you for sharing. I loved how you added that crust on top...I would probably honestly use this as a dip for chips lol. It looked so good! Have a great rest of your evening. Kindly, Theresa and Cam

Thanks so much, I'm so happy that you enjoyed the video. The top crust really sets this off. I hadn't thought about using it for chips, but I'll bet it would be good with chips or crackers. Have a wonderful evening, thanks for stopping by!

It's been a while since I made one and I just got a taste for it. My Jada thinks that she has to protect us from the evil UPS/Fedex trucks, menacing squirrels, and of course the devil dog that lives across the road, lol! And yes, she almost always does it when I record. You gotta love them, such sweet babies. Thank for stopping by! 😀💕

Thank you for clarifying the oven temp in the comments -- 350 degrees. Yet if I double the ingredients for a 9×13 dish, is the time in the oven still 30 mins? Or should I double that too?
@ElainesCountryHome11 ай бұрын
No, 30-40 minutes should be fine. 🙂

@@ElainesCountryHome-- Thanks. By the way, I followed your recipe exactly as in your video. It was my first attempt. I shared the dish with my folks today, & the results made for a terrific early Thanksgiving!

I do love spinach and like your recipe. In your list of ingredients, is it the right amount for a 9 x 13 casserole dish? I’m ready to go buy what I need.
@ElainesCountryHome Жыл бұрын
No, the ingredients list is for a 2-quart casserole dish. However, if you double all of the ingredients, it would do fine in a 9 X 13. I double this recipe if I'm making it for a potluck or for company and it works great. Thank you for watching.

How about adding some potatoes with the spinach I think it would work , and would fill the dish up better 😮😊
@ElainesCountryHome10 ай бұрын
You could certainly do that, if you’d like. I think I would prefer it as is. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

What temperature did you bake this casserole?
@ElainesCountryHome3 жыл бұрын
Hey there Thomas. I baked this at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, as I said in the beginning of the video. Thanks so much for your comment and for stopping by.

Do you really need to cook the spinach 1st if your baking it?
@ElainesCountryHome3 жыл бұрын
Hey there Corey. Similar recipes that I've seen that only called for the spinach to be thawed and drained required a longer baking time, at least 40 to 45 minutes. This recipe only bakes for 30 minutes. I suppose that you could do it without precooking the spinach but you would probably need to increase the baking time. Thanks for watching.
