Yes, the flour and butter are just a thickener for the broth, so it really depends on how thick you want your broth to be.

My go to soups are, creamy spinach sausage and tortellini, rustic tortellini, Italian sausage soup with wine and zucchini, Italian wedding soup, cream of chicken with dumpling, chicken wild rice and beef barley. I make turkey noodle soup after Thanksgiving and share since there is so much. Sometimes I make chicken noodle soup but rarely. In all the Italian soups except the Italian sausage with zucchini, I make little meatballs with the sausage, cheese, bread, eggs and milk. I use my cookie scoop to measure. I make way more than recipe calls for because people always load up on the meatballs. Your recipe is delicious as well. Thanks. I also make creamy pepper Jack cheese soup with chicken and potatoes plus all the usual. I make that for the kids as it is a favorite.

This will definitely warm you up! ☺️ We have had a cold spell in Texas. Very cold last weekend and early week. Then Wednesday was unseasonably warm but Thursday and Friday were back to a cold that calls for something that will warm you deep into your soul. 😋 And this soup will do the trick! 🤗 I know other states have colder weather with unbearable temperatures and even snow.
