No, not necessary. There is an audio mixer module given in the interface. All audios on the system will be merged into a single channel. Just test it once by making sure all the cross-faders are in full volume position.

Some sites check if you are using a virtual webcam by checking the name of the device driver of the camera to see if it has the keyword "virtual" in the device driver name. However, most websites do not check this but it depends on the website/your organisation security policies.

Yes, it is possible on any software/website. All you have to do is select OBS Virtual Camera as the camera input source in the software/website.

Officially, there is no option provided by OBS to change the name. However, by tweaking some settings in the Windows Registry you can change the name. You could google more info on that and get it.

@@nicholas07 We really can't say which site detects and which site does not. However, there are two ways a site detects if you are using a virtual webcam:- 1. By checking the name of the camera. If the word 'virtual' is there in it, it detects it as virtual camera(most websites detect like this). 2. By checking real device drivers name on your computer. A virtual camera will not have a real device driver identifier so it might detect it like that.

Is there anyway to pre-record video WITH audio, and still be able to easily switch to live if called upon? I might be allowed to mute myself but Im not sure yet, so if im not allowed need to have audio going through too

Yes, audio is recorded along with the video as long as audio source is connected. Just make sure that along with selecting OBS Virtual Camera on the browser/application, select microphone device as OBS as well. Yes, all input audio feeds will be going out as a master channel so you can talk in real time and audio will be going. Just test it out once by interacting with the audio interface on the center bottom of the OBS software.

Here are some troubleshooting steps: 1) Check if the Virtual camera is selected on Omegle. If OBS camera option is not coming on your browser, restart your browser and/or subsequently your computer. 2) If camera getting recognized on browser but OBS dummy screen is coming, make sure you have clicked on "Start Virtual Camera" in OBS Studio.
