You have been fortunate with your device, whereas other people haven't. I just COULD NOT believe that a flagship device is developing screen burn in after three weeks. Or at least I couldn't until one of our two new IPhone 15 Pro Max has developed screen burn in off the keyboard on the device. After TWO weeks. Apple replaced the device. The second of our two handsets has been overheating when charging, which slowed down the charging to the point that the device was taking 3 hours to charge from empty. This unit has developed a rattling speaker also. The recent 17.0.3 update has not helped our overheating phone so this is being replaced sometime this week. Many people have good quality handsets for sure, but both of ours were defective. Many people have the same kind of problems we do. We are not reviewers or influencers or people with an axe to grind against Apple. I hope your device continues to do you proud and that our two replacements do the same for our company.

I just switched from the iPhone XR to the iPhone 15 Pro Max (1TB). During the updating/restoring, it was pretty warm. The next day, I was taking photos of alligators and squirrels (yes, Florida!) and it shut off on me at least 5 times because it was too hot. Updated to 17.0.3 the same afternoon, no problems since. Not even "warm". Just like nothing happened. And oh my my, that phone is so beautifully powerful, all the functions of the camera, and all. I am super impressed.

Using iOS 17.0.3 on my iPhone 15 Pro. Overall performance and battery have been great. I have not experienced any of the overheating issues that seem to have everyone so concerned. At this point, I have been curious if these initial reported issues were repeating or simply isolated to the set-up of individual devices. My battery life has been good to great, ranging from heavy use to moderate activity. My preference is with the size and pocket able 6.1" iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve upgraded every year since the 12. This will be the first year I don’t. The gaming features aren’t fully realized yet. The titanium is cool, but the steel somehow seems more robust. The sharper corners of the 12-14 probably help , but those curved edges are tempting. However, I’ve never had a problem gripping my iPhones since they became squared off. I don’t use a case, so the curved glass puts me off a little. I will skip all 15s, and I’ll check out the 16 and see what happens. Not mad that I’m saving money this year. A big thing to consider is scale. A 1% failure rate in a less popular phone means nothing but a 0.1% failure rate on something as popular as the iPhone is a huge deal. Millions more sold so there’s millions more defective units and in the age of the internet you only need a handful for people to rant and rave that the entire line is defective. Apple is also held to a ridiculous level of scrutiny so it’s the perfect storm for what seems to be a software issue and likely some small rate of manufacturing defects. Mistakes were clearly made with the 15 pro but it’s not as big as media and influencers say.
@UpwardsOnly899 ай бұрын
There is a subculture that see Apple as a symbol for consumerism and the horrid side of capitalism (which I don't dispute). And these people see Android as the "people's phone" due to its affordability and customizability. This then leads to hordes of angry individuals hating on Apple for even the smallest things. I say this as one of those having been part of the group. I saw having Apple products as wasteful (why pay more if Android phones do more for less money for example). Only now, many years later, having been forced to swap out multiple Android and windows based devices due to them breaking down or not getting security patches/updates, I realized, that Apple is the way to go to be a more environmentally and fiscally concous. I know many people that have used their Macbook for a decade or so, but my Lenovo laptops kept breaking down within 3--5 yeears. Same with the phones. Those that swap iphone 14 pro to iphone 15 pro, are a bit foolish in my mind, as the features added don't justify it really. But if one has iphone 11 and they jump to 15 pro - that's a phone that will last them for ages. And after delving into cybersecurity courses, I find it more risky using Windows/Android based devices. TLDR: I'm starting to become a believer in Apple products due to them being more secure and robust, which justifies the higher price tag.

Should you buy iphone15 if you have iphone 14? no, should you buy iphone 15 if you have an 4 years old phone? probably yes, I switched from my old samsung galaxy s10 plus and I am verry happy with my choice. Iphone 15pro has a newer gen of processor, so it will last me 1 year longer then a 14; I love the fact that is lighter, it feels so nice in my hand both because of this and the slightly rounded edges, I like the natural titanium color, and I don't have to carry 2 cables on me anymore (thanks EU), also the programble button is rather usefull (as, let's me honest, how many times you switch silent mode? most of us keep it on silent all the time). we should actually appreciate that the technology improves slightly every year, it means you don't HAVE to buy a new phone, AND that they do improve over-time, or what, people would be more happy with apple continuing to produce only iphone14 until they have enough changes to make a big jump? PS: I didn't had issues with temperature, yes, it got a bit warm in the first day of use, or while charging and using it at the same time, but not burning hot. I used it withouth a case the last month and until now, no issues with durability, and I did drop it on the house floor one time, but I also bough the apple care for 2 years, so I can at least use it withouth a case in the next 2 years

Dude...He tore the entire iphone 15 apart. It's not a conspiracy. The reason why the 15 breaks easily is because Apple didn't include an aluminum plate on the inside back of the phone, that aides in reinforcing the back glass. As for the titanium, there's only 17 grams of titanium, that is fused to aluminum.
@VitalienGuerin Жыл бұрын
@phonerepairguru already found out that the issue with cracking is due to in this generation the back panel is only the glass without an aluminum frame, last year the glass and the aluminum frame were “glued” together so it wouldn’t get broken so easily.

I think regardless of the phone model you want to buy it is always good to wait a few months to see how the phone performs when it first launch. I’m the type to buy a phone and stretch it out as long as possible like my iPhone X the OG face ID 🤙. But now it is getting old and time for a new one. Now wen looking at phone I’m also looking at the company and there Business model and what Apple is doing using last year chip and not moving away from 60hz and limiting the USB C speed on their basic iPhone is starting to get to me !! 😒. I use my phone for filming video on my channel and I would have appreciated the faster transfer speed so I can move my files to my SSD!! Remember in previous years all iPhone ad the same chip and the same port but now things are going in a very bad direction for consumers 😩.

Waiting for a while after a product is released is a great strategy. No point buying it straight away unless you're forced to because of a lost or broken phone etc.

Pixel 8 seems like a good option compared to Apple..

Yeah, and now the base iPhones will get 1 less year of software support. So much for "longevity"

@@kiranmudnaney Either the Pixel 8 or the S23 is great. Although I have tried to use plenty of iPhones as my main phone, I always gravitate back to Android.
@CreatedTech Жыл бұрын
@@vivek_v Did I say wait a full year? A few weeks is enough. As to your point about software support, Apple generally provides software updates for phones for 6 years after release. How many people do you think are using the same phone for over half a decade? Even then, it's not like they become unusable. They simply stop getting the latest iOS updates. If that's a dealbreaker for you, get an Android. But don't pretend that Android phones are perfect, because they have their own issues (spoiler: so does every phone).

my experience was horrible, for what is worth. to be fair the man at the apple store told me mine was one of the buggiest ones he's seen. they offered to fix it but it was gonna take a few hours so I asked for my money back. ill just wait for the new colors. cause its a dope phone ngl

I made a rash decision to get 15 pro while i still have my 13 pro. I did regret buying it at first but after using it for two weeks, I am glad i upgraded. It's so much lighter than my 13 pro and the cameras are better too in my opinion. Sold my iphone 13 pro. :)

My iPhone 15 Pro is fine... also I am not as jacked like Jerry Rig Everything to bend a phone like he did. I miss the bigger screen but I can deal with that later.

You can still get the old non-leather Apple cases.

I regularly experience that when I read text from, for example, an advertisement on a browser, the text falls out of place. I also notice that I make many typing errors with a 6.1 screen, and a smaller screen is simply less attractive. for people with eye problems, and the battery is simply worse than the PM models..
@brianfontenot826411 ай бұрын
The overheating is due to a software issue and Apple has addressed it with an update to fix the heating issues. It depends on what features and size iphone you prefer. Some like smaller iPhones and some like the bigger screen size. IT COMES TO PREFERENCES.

I believe it would be an OS issue more than the materials used in the phone, as new iOS updates usually have bugs. Its just since its a new and a succeeding phone people have higher expectations, especially how apple markets to be the best iPhone ever etc. 😅😂

There is a lagging and stuttering animations on Iphone since IOS 16. No one is talking about this. If you carefully some apps like app store, facebook, uber eats, spotify you will notice this lagging and stuttering animations. It still happening on ios 17 as well.

Mine doesn't overheat, I got a non-Apple transparent case and it hasn't broken or bent at all, Apple lost my business on cases when it phased out real leather, and the battery life is not better than my 2 years old 13 Pro that it replaces, or not obviously longer. And while overall the cameras are better, there is an issue when focusing on barcodes. Voila. Plus I can't even cry about the price, as I got a great deal for staying at my provider, so all in all it's a strong positive.

Why would u not have a case of some sort, when your phone costs 1K. Why would u even try to bend it for anyway. People just idiots

Nobody hates the phone. You cant hate a piece of metal. But i can tell you that a lot of people hate Tim Cook and his crew for pissing on their customers for years and delivering them the same shit year after year with little improvements. Not to mention still having 60 hz displays in 2024 This is a blasphemy and a total "fuck off" spat in the face of apple customers. Im so glad I ditched my 15 PM and switched to the one, true, king. The S24 Ultra!

honestly people aren’t stupid, they hate the fact apple charges 1200 for a recycled design with no real updates and are judging it in more detail. Apple won’t be able to getaway with their laziness for much longer.

I’ve had no issues with it. I only upgraded because the battery on my 13pro was starting to show age and I didn’t wanna lose trade in value. Speaking of tho. Why don’t batteries last more than 3 yrs before they start tanking? This hasn’t always been the case case.. I have some vintage iPhones/itouches and miscellaneous other old tech that still have working batteries. I swear they make the batteries die right around the time you pay it off so we’re always in debt for a phone. What a scam!

I have both the 15 pro and 15 pro max (main device). The thing I don’t like about the 15 pro is the battery life isn’t all that great and would only get about 6 hours of battery then it would be dead even though I hardly used the phone during the day.
