How cool for Scott hope he had a great time!! Many years ago when I was a kid my grandad met by chance a fellow Tommy he had served with in ww2. They had both been in training together before deployment and hadn't seen each other since. What was amazing for me was I saw my grandad as a young man because it was like a switch had flipped. They chatted and goofed around called each other by Thier old nicknames. I had never seen him that way. In fact he had a terrible time in the war and had PTSD from it. But in that moment tho both kind Thier 70s they were two young guys meeting a friend like no time had passed

Those foam insulators work very well. Also, if you are not using the plug, adding those little covers you can put in to keep babies from getting shocked are helpful as well. It sounds crazy but it really does help keep out drafts. Great job. Love the wallpaper and curtains. Can't wait to see the finished results.

I married into a family who owned a floor and wall covering business. I LOVE the wallpaper. It’s unusual and perfect for yours and Scott’s design styles. The colors are cheerful and very reminiscent of the 50’s. I’m basing this opinion on some of Scott’s award-winning graphics.

Having lived through the 50's the wallpaper instantly hit home. For some reason I immediately had an image of 50's Laminex and chrome kitchen tables and matching vinyl chairs. I like it.

I love that you are doing your kitchen the way you want it to look. (Gasp!) People need to get over all of the trends and worrying about how others homes look. We are remodeling and updating our house and I am now to the point that I want things neutral and simplified. I get anxiety the older I get living in a lot of "stuff". I was a bit “oooooh I’m not sure on the wallpaper design”, however once it’s hung on the wall with the trim to finish it off , it just flows beautifully throughout the kitchen! Well done 👏🏻. The dining nook is going to look amazing when it’s complete.

I love that paper - it reminds me of the curtains my mum put in our bedrooms back in the 60's (yeah I'm old) my brother and I had the same pattern - mine were brown/pink and he had the same thing but in turquoise -- loved them! this is awesome!

I love atomic (mid century modern) style... although I don't have it in my house. Sometimes I think I'd love to have a 50s style house, but so much would have to be changed. I have a hodge podge, but I like it. Still, love seeing houses decorated 50s style! One thing I have learned over the years is to never doubt Sophia's plan!!! 🥰

Thats really good advice sophia! The majority of driving is being observant and trying to emphasise what others will do on the road and as all drivers know you can never fully anticipate all the stupid things people do whilst on the road. Xxx
