Thank you Trey. The 20 degree angle really adds a cool effect after carving the shape.

Hey Steve - great video. Love the colors - thanks for the link. Looks like you need to tram your CNC; that will help with your cut lines a lot. I had the same problem with my X-Carve (and Shapeoko). Keep up the great work!

Thanks. When you say "tram your CNC" are you talking about the overlap between passes?

@@stevemoseley9877 Hi Steven - tramming ensures your cutter (router in this case) is completely perpendicular to the waste board in X and Y directions. Looks like your router is tilted either forward or backwards in the Y direction, which creates inconsistent flatness on the floor of your bowl. If you can feel parallel cut lines then the spindle is not trammed properly. Many videos on the KZbins on how to tram - hope that helps!

@@cyberreefguru Gotcha. I think part of the issue with the bottom of the tray was that I was not increasing the overlap enough so the flat area on the bottom of the bit was overlapping the next pass. It gave me a little curved area in between passes. I think the other part of the problem is the tramming you mention. Thanks!

Those came out great. I have been struggling with trying to figure out how to cut out the bowl. I appreciate the video. What tape do you use to hold down your material?

I use XFasten double sided CNC/woodworking tape.

Why expoy on the maple with veneer? Is that a stronger hold than wood glue? And was it normal tabletop epoxy, or something more along the lines of JB Weld?

I wanted the epoxy to fill any small gaps that were left from the additional sanding I did on the pieces. I used Totalboat High Performance epoxy with medium set speed. That way I could glue one strip of colored veneer and then do it again the next day. Thanks!

Love the video Steve, super creative! I have a few random questions, which double sided tape are you using? Also, any way you can show what you put into Easel for the custom bit for the Amana Bowl Bit?

I use XFasten double sided CNC/woodworking tape. I think I just treated it like a straight bit in Easel.
