7:40 When I'm doing clean up like that... I'll actually kind of alternate between using the sculpt mode and the edit mode versions... sometimes one works better in a certain spot than the other., especially if I"m working on something like a character where i might have several fills close to each other that I haven't locked off yet for some reason. When i am using the edit mode version, I'll usually use Proportional editing so that it pulls the neighboring ones as well, adjusting the fall off as needed. 8:20 could also duplicate the fill material and change it's color. That way, you're not having to turn off the stroke and turn on the fill because it's already been done :D I find I like working this way too... drawing on one layer, flat on a layer, and shadow on a layer. I feel like it gives me more control than if I had both the stroke and the fill on the same layer. I usually do my fill using the bucket tool and clean it up ... but I might try doing it this way a little bit at a time... seeems like it might give better results with less effort :D Great tutorial!

Thanks for the great comment/tips and for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love all of the flexibility that comes with proportional editing. I wish I had discovered it sooner when I started working in 3D. It really provides so much functionality.
