Early Astrix is: Leads is Logic ES2 (!), Bass: Steinberg VB1, Delay Lama VST :))

How to use vb1 and es2 in the same project lol?
@alexk2806 жыл бұрын
@@DashGlitch Easy. Logic Windows (up to 5.5.1) support vst plugins. But MAIN rule of psy bassling is sampling for phase trig of waveform, maybe Avi used Cubase VST or SX for DAW + Logic with synths set for creating melody loops / leads /etc, this is popular practice for 2001-2004.

@@alexk280 Seems crazy and impracticable especially considering now both DAWs have much more capable tools :)

p.s. check my other videos, lots to learn on making Bass in a real plugin, not a rompler ;)

Do you not use any hardware or play any synthesizers (real ones). I like your vids as you seem to like Trance (something I was playing professionally-the first i know of in the southern US) back in the day. So I was on a label in 1991 for Techno. but Trance is my true love. So just curious if you have ever considered that. I am def on the older side, so have never even SEEN a DAW let alone own one, but I was told they pretty much do everything for you and the music are really just midi packs you buy and import? Assuming that is true you might love the total freedom with hardware...you actually get to create (not just maintain something else)...if that makes sense. The down side is of course it is much more challenging (and you would need to have basic piano skills to play chords and such)...BUT challenging can be more rewarding as i view it. Now if you do use hardware-then never mind;-). Just have not seen it on your channel (and it seems the vAst majority if people use computers to play Trance and Techno. :-( thz

hey dash, have you ever covered how to make a glided bass which pitches down every 1/4? Is that done by layering 2 MIDI notes e.g. A2 and A1, with a portamento glide?
@DashGlitch6 жыл бұрын
I'm planning to upload a video outlining some techniques for this soon :)

Hi, great videos! Im curious about the hypnotic lead sound at 1.18 on Atriohm - Rings of Fairy (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHSsYqWwhdVogJYm17s ). I tried making it myself but didnt really end up with something similar. Would be cool if you could show your idea of how you think it was made.
