I am so happy to see your new video! Like many others, your little rectangles and doodles gave me the confidence to begin! I’ve moved on to some of your more abstract, loose paintings-and now always add gold. Most importantly, your calm, reassuring voice as you teach seems to make it possible to try new techniques and lose myself in the moment. I am inspired by something in each of your tutorials- I can’t choose just one.

I was in lockdown at a rehab center for 16 months during the pandemic. I knew I had to come up with something to keep me sane. I came upon you and began watercolor painting. I watch all your videos, became a Amazon junkie buying supplies. You helped save my life. I began happily painting every day. I'm still at it and just love it. I have missed you. You'd be surprised how often I think of you. You are a true artist with an incredible creative mind. Be well and know that you have impacted many lives.

I have loved pen and ink with minute detail for a LONG time. That includes doing Zentangle. However, I have longed to do, what I call "watery" water color. I never felt "successful" with any instruction I received. During COVID I discovered KZbin. And, I found....YOU! I was able to do "splotches" enhanced with p&i. I loved the loose feel plus putting the detail in with ink. Thank you for starting me in the right direction for satisfying my ink and "watery" watercolor!

The Easiest Flowers I Ever Painted is my favorite video. While the decision was hard, what I love in that video is the beauty in the simplicity; but also your enthusiasm that comes through which is what inspired me to keep painting. You seem to actually be enjoying the process. I've used the 3 dot technique to create so many soft, transparent watercolor flowers- the list is endless. In addition, I like the idea of actually painting with water, which this technique emphasises and is what drew me to this medium in the early part of my journey.

I started painting bookmarks with my Crayola watercolors that were maybe 8 years old or more. I'd bought them for my grandkids. After a few bookmarks, I decided to buy some "real" watercolors. I was disappointed, but kind of thrilled that the Crayola set gave a more vibrant look to my "art" than the others. Not what the watercolor paint's people want to hear, but then I'm just a doodiler, not a true artist! :0

Like others, I can’t pick just one. I learn something from each one but what I’ve loved of your art is the freedom with which you apply color. It was so freeing to me to see your technique as it gave me “permission” to let the paint take me on a journey. Traditional watercolor seemed too restrictive for my style but your art has a joyful, simple elegance that really speaks to me. ❤️

Your series of Watercolor + pencils is probably one of the most helpful for me... it had never occurred to me to try it and I immediately found a use for it on a beach in Japan, that I was painting for my sister-in-law. But your use of gold has repeatedly given me the freedom to use metallics and not be embarrassed by it. At some point, in some dialogue on a video, the viewers and the creator made comments about whether it could be practical to even bother buying metallic watercolor paints, because what would you realistically need them for. This was probably a year and a half ago. For some reason, I immediately was "shamed" (lightly) and questioned my love for putting in various little embellishments with gold or silver or .... Your gorgeous use of it, in all sorts of abstract work, has been so delightful, that it gave me the confidence to put it back in my work. Thank you for being authentic to your creative muse!

It was last year that I began buying supplies for watercolor. In autumn I was ready. By then I had binge watched your videos from past to present. There is so much beautiful inspiration there! But I would have to agree with the person who suggested to create this video. The rectangles with drawn branches, leaves, etc. was the one I went for in my own watercolor experience as it was easy for a beginner. I love your work with the blobs and gold,,, so inspiring. Of course mine were not as inspiring, but then I didn't stick with the blobs. Had I done so perhaps I'd be better at it by now. I struggle to pick one painting for inspiration because I think in each one you have produced, I have been inspired by some element, be it the gold or using shapes, some of the colours you have used had me dash out to find them here where I live in Australia, then the excitement to see if I can produce the same light and intensity with those colours, so much of what you have produced over the years has inspired me …and you still do so thank you for that. 🤗

Flat brushes are so underrated in watercolor.. everyone is all about the rounds. Flats give so many options and are wonderful for loose work, it's easy to produce either nice straight lines, corners and edges.. or natural, random shapes. Petals and leaves are interesting in a single stroke. Skies paint themselves with a bit of practice. I often work with a larger flat (depending on the size of the piece, I like a 1/2" for my preferred 5x7 to 6x9 size paper) and a #2 round just for the little details.

really appreciate the videos that don't necessarily require a lot of skill and still are a lot of fun. The ones you can just do and experiment without worrying about anything. They're so nice when you want to do/try sthg but you've got no idea what and feel overwhelmed by mostly anything. I really enjoyed the one with filling a whole page with leaves and the one with the blue and sand and gold-coloured ... shapes with doodling. But I also love watching the more involved and complex ones bc it's all just so beautiful. I'd even watch if there was no commentary (bc you said you didn't know what to say or how to explain sometimes)

One of my favorite pieces of yours was from about four years ago, June 13, 2018. It was a watercolor: doodling on abstract. I just remember being amazed at how you transformed a wash of color into finished, fantastical piece of art. This video motivated me to try something like it and the results has remained one of my favorite pieces. I have also embraced this concept to go on to do a whole series of fantastical landscapes on top of watercolor washes. Your use of color and control of the brush are amazing. The way I can get colors to bleed into each other without becoming muddy is something I aspire to!

The flower doodle videos you did in 2020! I honestly was inspired to make dozens of cards because of them. And during Covid I made sets of 10 cards in clear boxes and gave them to friends.. I also wrote to my mom and my sister every week with a new card. It was an amazing inspiration. On the day my mum took Ill in September ,2021, she called me to say that more beautiful cards had arrived. She died three days later. And when I was tidying her house , I found all of the cards I’d sent. All of them inspired by your sweet flower doodles. Thank yo so much. They brought so much joy.

For me, one you showed at the start of this: bold green rectangle with a golden floral doodle on top, more than any other made me think, "I want ... no, I NEED to start watercoloring & doodling !!". Love so many (all?) of your posts, so hard to choose. Thanks very much ... for what you do & how you present it.

The loose wild flowers with the/ tapping off the paint making a field of abstract wild flowers made me successfully create and sell many paintings. Also the cityscapes you did...i love and explored for hours and hours. Thank you my teacher!

You have no idea how much your videos have inspired and taught me, I have probably seen them all. I started painting in 2020. Just like Shan, I have made so many if those rectangles. I also love and made the falling leaves, two of them, winter and summer, my first ever paintings that are framed and hanging in my bedroom 🍃 😊. Love your artwork, and love your tutorials. I wish you could see my take on some of your pieces. Miss you around here. Hope everything is good with you so you can come back anytime soon. Thanks for sharing so much. I’m really very grateful for your generous contribution to my art.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent. The inspirational video for me was Summer doodling with gold for beginners. I had always wanted to learn water colour and your videos were exactly what I needed. I have since binged watch all of your videos and learned from each one. I am an artist at heart with a strong will to learn but struggle with perspective and therefore my art never really looks right. With your doodling videos I now love my art! I dedicated a watercolour book just to doodling and have painted several pages ahead so I can take it with me and just doodle with the pens on my down time. So please keep those videos coming. ❤️🇨🇦

My favorite is the one you limited yourself to three pans and went over some color theory, mixing up a bunch of shades and painting wavy rows and some doodles on top, it seemed simple enough and yet a very fun way to explore all the shades between only two or three colors. 👍

CeeCee, your “Watercolor + Doodles” series is what inspired me to start experimenting with watercolor. I’ve been an oil painter for a while and took up watercolor to while away my time in waiting rooms, etc. during the pandemic. I have enjoyed your advice on doodling adventures. Thanks for opening a new creative door for me. (I used to fear watercolor!)

Doodling with gold and white (I first watched it two years ago) was my inspiration to start to doodle with water colors. Your videos have inspired me to many different creations. Just like Alice I enjoy your smooth and calming voice. I have discovered when I doodle I think of nothing else and it relaxes me and calms my mental state. Since I started doodling I also watch the outside world with different eyes. I constantly see something that I like to try to paint. Thank you for continuing to post.

This is another delightful creation of art meeting meaning. I find this very positive and the simple process executed beautifully. I loved the tutorial of …. Creating a window pane by using masking tape. I painted a number of these using different colour combinations and drawing different leaves and flowers. The removal of the tape was just magical for this beginner. Thank you for sharing your approach when expressing yourself in art. ✨💕🎨

I actually picked up a brush after the painting a plant pot. It was timely and I wanted to paint a pot and a design that was more abstract. However, being a beginner at watercolors the videos with the small colored square with doodles in them have been the most inspiring; like I can do THAT.

I have been led to do many of you're pieces but the one I love the most was the little houses at the bottom with gigantic balloon like spheres floating in the sky. What a beautiful video and the art work is gorgeous! I love the way you did the quote. I will definitely be playing with that idea. As for my favorite video of yours? Most definitely it is "HOW TO DOODLE with just circles, dots and gold of course! **for beginners". It made my abstract loving heart so happy. And that's generally why I enjoy your videos so much... they just make me happy. They are so relaxing to watch. Yeah, I get ideas and inspirations too but it's your beautiful energy and gorgeous work that keeps me coming back.

Thank you for your new video...it's one of my favorites! I never liked abstract art until I watched your videos. I love your prettys and have made cards using that idea. I'm a 72 yr old great grandmother whose had a cornea transplant about a year ago and didn't think I'd be able to paint again even though the transplant was successful and my vision is slowly returning. This was such a lovely painting. I really love the quote, and I love the mix of Metallics. I have been a subscriber for many, many, many years. I have watched (and enjoyed) every one of them. I am probably joining many others when I say that the most inspirational, the one that made me feel like I can do it, are the ones where I believe there was a series of seasons where you painted 9 rectangle blobs and doodled a little vignette inside each one. Gah! I watched those over and over. Those are the ones that motivated me to get our my supplies and just paint. I was also extremely inspired by your video where you disc bound your watercolor journal. That was a hugh A-HA moment for me. It allowed me to take the punch (which I already had) and take all of my loose papers and contain them in the disc binding. It is brilliant for all my swatch charts because you can add new additions exactly in the place where they belong. I also use that same method for binding all my Bible studies as well as all of my adult coloring books. It has been a game changer for me.

Like so many here I must say that the blobs of color and doodled flowers was my jumping off point. As a rookie watercolorist (I do watercolor for card making) it was very freeing to be given permission to just play with the color and let it mix and do what it wanted without trying to tame it specifically. and the simple doodles seemed so achievable. I love all of your videos, but that one clearly reached many!

I adore the painting in this video. The background colors are so luscious. You help me see color combinations that I might overlook because I usually go for the brightest brights. My favorite of your videos that I loved so much I tried to emulate were: 1. The repeated pattern of leaves that you doodled over. So fun. 2. The one where you painted blobs of color and turned them into gem stones. Practicing those help alot with brush control.

It’s so good to see you back. You have been an inspiration to me these past few months (2 to be precise) since I accidentally discovered your unique talent on KZbin. I have since painted about 40 odd paintings. My day seems incomplete if I don’t paint. And I’ve never painted ever in my 65 years. So thank you for sharing your gift with us.
