The ritle is perfect. I was caught up in your story as soon yoy turned the paper to a horizontal positioning. The lollipop trees, the clouds, rain, all made sense. The triangular arrangement of strong color is key, too. I learned a lot warching abd listening to you. ❤ color

Not all the way thru yet, but stopped to note how impressed I was with your getting rid of the doodled white triangles: how you covered them over then added texture by swiping your finger over the wet cover. Love the result you achieved & thought it greatly enhanced the look of the whole.

Isn't it amazing how turning the page from portrait to landscape can give a whole new perspective on the outcome of your piece. It seems to all make sense and point you in the right direction to achieving something inspiring. Your insight is intuitive and your sense of composition and focal points seems to always lead to wonderful gems that we can all appreciate. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely loved this. I wish I could move on from fixating on trying to paint something representative, and so getting nothing done at all. I love the freedom you illustrate of simply laying down colour in portrait orientation and going with the flow of your thoughts. It seems to me that it is a freedom we have as children, before we become self conscious, and I would love to tap into that creativity again! Today I will paint...

yep, loving this one too. it"s the doodling that really made this one.i"ve been having a bit of a interest in the more abstract lately. it may seem easy, but when you sit down to do it, you find it isn"t quit as simple as you thought. it turns out, not just ANY monkey can throw paint on a canvass and have it turn into something you can call art

I am late to the party and find your work so fascinating! When I am using watercolors, or any medium, I find that I must let the work "percolate" for a while, that I cannot complete the work all in one go. It takes sometimes several passes before I see what it "needs" or where I should take it to make it complete. I admire that you can complete a piece in one sitting! Thank you for the reminders of the "triangle" and "repeated elements"--always good to help the piece "hang together"! TFS
