Not liking the script ok, i kinda understand. But thinking the animation isnt any better than what dc has done in the last decade is crazy to me. I know its your opinion but, It clearly looks better. it has better lighting and compositing, better colour palette, a more unique artstyle, even the background is a unique artstyle too. Its practically a fact that this is better than all other animation dc has put out in the last decade.

Creature Commandos looks fun and not every story needs to have world ending stakes. The DCU needs world building and this show has an opportunity to do that. If you don't like Gunns writing. I don't know how you will like Superman.

As someone who loved Gunn's previous DC work, and who loved horror aesthetic action, I feel like I'm really going to like this series. I also think the animation looks gorgeous and I'm eager to see if other DC characters in the DCU will be done in the same style. But I understand the 'it's just Suicide Squad without having to call it Suicide Squad', as yeah that is essentially what it is. Waller even says as such. But I like to see it as James Gunn trying to help wean DC off of the Squad, which has had a choke-hold on DC media for years. Because after 'Suicide Squad Isekai' wraps up there are no other Suicide Squad projects announced for Chapter One. Besides, I do believe we're getting quite a bit more out of this series. We saw a glimpse at Circe and she looked to be wearing her faux Wonder Woman outfit. So perhaps from her we'll get an idea of our new Wonder Woman. Not an appearance but a confirmation of her being active. And we get to know Flag Sr., who is at the rank of general apparently. So here we can get his views on the monsters before we see him try to arrest the 'gods' in 'next year's 'Superman'. And I personally love the classic 'bullet' logo. It was on the comics I read when I was a kid. And the animation starting with the Golden Age Superman breaking his chains before shifting to the logo is simple and uncomplicated, but it works. Especially for when we see it in 'Superman'.

The biggest highlight for me is the character designs and animation style, as I'm already familiar with the animation studio and some of its artists, in particular director Yves Balak Bigerel and the Netflix show Captain Laserhawk, and enjoyed it so far!

For Creature Commandos I’ll definitely give it a watch seeing as it’s the first DCU project. That said, I’ve never been the biggest fan of the idea of the Suicide Squad and haven’t enjoyed how much DC has been overusing that concept. As for the logo, I can’t say I love it, but I guess I’ll have to get used to it. It seems like Gunn is really leaning into the vast history of DC which I appreciate

Also difference in likeable characters. There’s not a single character I liked in peacemaker but I liked every character in deadpool and wolverine. Also only deadpool made those kind of jokes. He’s really the exception in the universe. In peacemaker and TSS, basically every character has the same jokes and it gets way too repetitive. They’re also not as good jokes. Just my opinion.

Didn't know anything about Creature Commandos so went to a local comic book shop and picked up the book. I am now so excited about this show. At first I was going into this show and trying to find how it connects to the DCU, but after I started looking at it as single story I became more and more interested in the characters and their backstories. "Story telling is always king..." -James Gunn. I am hopeful that this is true with Creature Commandos. The character designs have me excited to see what the live action version of these characters look like. Looking forward to a full trailer and definitely looking forward to December !

I don’t think DC really understands the concept of the Suicide Squad or at least the point of them are. They’re villains who are forced to do life threatening missions in return they get their sentence reduced. That’s an interesting concept, just having villains who are morally bankrupt and desperate enough to undertake the job for a corrupt part of the government that sees them nothing as expendable if basically writes itself but the problem lies with the characters and how they portray them. It’s clear the writers have favorites like Harley Quinn or some random black marksman or a funny cgi character. I think Creature Commandos does have potential but should lean in more on the dark horror mixed in with military action instead of comedy it could quite work out. I mean this is the embodiment of the Universal Monsters meets Black Hawk Down mixed in with Zero Dark Thirty they should lean in on that.

I'm glad you enjoyed deadpool and Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds and his writing team can do no wrong when it comes to the humour. I loved the chemistry between wade and logan and the cameos put a really big smile on my face especially an unexpected one from a beloved former DC actor 😊.

I never really thought about it till you said it. Gunn tends to write very good stories but the screenplay and dialogue at times can feel juvenile. Tho GoTG Vol 3 was really good in both story and dialogue.

First off, nice that you included the DC logo into your channel logo at the top right. I would think and hope that people don't think that folks believe you think Gunn doesn't know what he's doing, given how very optimistic you've been about Superman. Simply put, not everything in the DCU will excite everyone. In fact, Swamp Thing is probably my most anticipated project. It would be wrong if you blindly loved or disliked everything.

As for the logo, I love that they brought the classic logo back! Definitely a connection to my childhood growing up reading the comics.

Creature Commandos is right up Gunn's alley. It's in his field that relates to The Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy. This is why I hesitate with his work on Superman. Even he himself has said he didn't want to touch a Superman film. Now he has to. Doesn't mean he can't accomplish a task outside his box. It does mean that his strong suit with adolescent humor and everything else will be heavily influenced into Superman. I'm not convinced that's a good thing. But like with everything, we will just have to wait and see. Personally, I think the right move would have been to concentrate on DC's big 3. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. The abstract DC characters like Guy Gardener, Booster Gold, Creature Commandos, etc. can wait to have their time in the sun. They simply don't reach the main DC fanbase. Especially if you're starting your new DC universe. -OG

I’m not a comics guy and I don’t particularly go for action comedies so no matter who is behind this there’s a good chance it’s not for me. I did watch sone of Harley Quinn show though and thought it was kinda funny . But not something I feel like going back to really. I really long for Snyder’s last couple of movies but I don’t think they’ll ever happen. Aside from that I’d welcome a serious universe . But I found the Batman really dull. I’ll still give Penguin a chance but I’m thinking comics prob just not my thing.
