1st concert I ever saw back in 1971. They played 31 songs. Albert King and Muddy Waters warmed things up. 3 and a half hours non stop for $5.50. Oh yes, I'm 68 y/o and still listen too them.

I was a Yankee hiking deep in the Bayous in La fishing when I first heard this song and been loving it ever since. I use to play softball for the Bayou Blasters anybody out there remember them. Lol.

Great reaction! What always amazed me, having grown up along the River, is how well they captured that delta vibe when they were from the San Francisco Bay area. Been listening to CCR since the ‘60s.

You should watch Run Through the Jungle matched with Vietnam footage. So pleased with your awesome reaction to them. Saw credence in Houston in the late 60s. Only concert I ever attended that the live performance was every bit as good as the studio version. Making sure my grandkids grow up knowing what music is supposed to sound like. Appreciate younger people discovering the music of my generation. Enjoy.

@@clintatk The closest that Fogerty got to the bayou was Fort Knox. We lived in Morgan City, Louisiana where my sister was born and CCR's music couldn't be more authentic Cajun than if he was born on the Atchafalaya...

@@rkernell I was born in St Charles Parrish. I'm partial to Zydeco and New Orleans jazz, but growing up I always liked the passion and wit in his songs. I mean, Myles Davis was from the Mid West, but as soon as he could he was off to New York City. 👍

CCR/Suzie Q and the 10 minute epic I Heard It Through The Grapevine. By the way, in 1970, CCR was the only recording act that outsold the Beatles. The prior six years were dominated by the Beatles and they outsold everybody else.

I had every LP they put out....and you're so correct...in 1970, when I was 13 years old...CCR was the King of the airways...and they were the king's of music! John Fogerty was not only a great singer and guitarist...he was also a great song writer. He was inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame in 1993....

One of the best bands ever. I grew up on this music. This is what is call Southern Rock. Lrynyrd Skynyrd, etc. Newest member is Chris Stapleton. A mixture of country, rock and the blues.
