As someone who plays and works on incredibly high production streamed games I can say from experience that wanting 100% unique art and assets is an insane thing to try to do on your own. We have like, 5 core artists and still do a bunch of commissioning and about 3 or 4 people all working on maps. It's the exact reason I decided that my first game as a gm was going to be the babiest thing imaginable with like, sketches, a few music tracks, and some scene setter images because I know going all out will overwhelm me and probably also mean I never run my game. It helps that the system I'm running puts an emphasis on minimal prep and mostly just reacting to what players do I can't really plan ahead with extravagant maps and stuff like that to begin with. Also to put all the pressure on yourself and your group when they have literally never posted a ttrpg before is just way too much.

The Channel is Stabbyness We stream on twitch and post vods on KZbin for easier viewing if you do end up checking it out, I'm one of the 5+ artists and occasional player. We do a lot of games in a homebrew System called Sentiment that one of our GMs made and we just started a Lancer Campaign last week! I'm planning to run a Campaign of Masks: The Next Generation after I get some practice in. We're going to be starting a horror campaign up soon too! We have a lot of fun! and there's a lot of variety in Game style and systems. You won't find a ton of more traditional TTRPG like D&D or Pathfinder though, as a disclaimer.

OP in the Creep story did reveal what they heard happened years later. Basically, Creep got banned from the con after OP's mom went full Karen mode on the DM and the event organizer. The PathFinder Society was never seen again at that con.

Ive been playing ttrpgs since 78 when TSR was THE rpg company. I absolutely LOVE listening to these tales of epic cringe. In that span of years, I'm positive I've been responsible for at least some cringeworthy moments; I learned, as a DM (at the time) that scotch and running a game DO NOT mix well, lol. My question is this; are you going to address the latest developments with WOTC's decision on half-races? That ambition one hits close to home. I got a campaign idea and I got players but my life is way too hectic to get anything going. So we talk about it then drop it a few weeks and pick it back up. Hoping after my family drama is done I can sit back and get to work on it. Mine isn't a grand epic infact I told them I want it to feel like a road trip mixed with a saturday morning cartoon. So it's alot of cheese and weirdness.

Simp Story: 9 hours a session takes up your entire day, and what if the latest sessions time begins at 3 pm? I sure as hell would not stay til midnight. Creep Story: People like Creepy are not safe anywhere people, and to anyone, especially the kids out there, please say something, scream and run away or something, anything to get as far away as possible and please, please tell your parents. Your parents will not be mad at you and hypothetically, if they don't believe you, go to the police and at least make a record of it so that there is documentation on people like Creepy. When there's more documentation, it will lead that person to a long time behind bars. If people like creepy go to jail, they will most likely die in there or stay away from everyone to keep themselves safe. A majority of criminals actually care about the kids, the pedos don't.

Story 1: That excuse for rejecting an oath of the ancients paladin is pretty ridonkulous, it sounds like the DM should just write a book rather than run a campaign given how controlling he came off and the lack of agency the players were going to have. Having ambition is great but great googly moogly one needs to make a campaign where the players [DM too obvi] can have fun and collaborate together to make an entertaining and engaging campaign. Story 2: DMs like this bozo are a reason new players tend to be hesitant to try out TTRPGs, especially given he belittled OP and her husband, sounded gatekeepy AF, creeped on a married woman via staring at her boobs and like most shite DMs, gave them little to no player agency while being a condescending douchewaffle [no OP and husband did not roll their HP wrong]. Not to mention doubled down when OP and her hubs have mentioned multiple times they've played for years just not Adventurer's League. Neckbeards gonna neckbeard I suppose. Story 3: Oof, poor OP having to put up with that freaky pedobear I hope he'll be okay and that pervert rotting in jail somewhere or made it to jail and got an arse kicking [most inmates from what I'm told have zero tolerance for pedos and wifebeaters] Touching somebody like that is never okay, just no. Story 4: I love these glory stories, they're a breath of fresh air to clean away the stink of creepiness and controlling douchbaggery.

OP in story 1 does sound like a bit of a prude tbh but the DM does seem like a bit of a railroader and probably has a grand idea of a story and ending and unfortunately he kinda has to realize that that's not always how D&D works.
