This so phenomenally fantastic!! These guys can do anything and turn it into gold. Had to grab me a box of tissues for this one. Cesar killed it with his emotions and I feel he deserves a hug, Eli did amazing with this arrangement. I have no words. I mean They all put so many emotions into this song. I was crying through most of it, and I have cried everytime I watch it. It is already on my playlist! Great reaction!!

VP are masters at conveying emotions in music. No one does it better. Eli's lighting just sets it all up and this time his arrangement helped elevate this song to be what it should have been all along.

No matter how many times I see this video, I cry...hits all the feels. It reaches some of my deepest insecurities...and there are some songs that do this for me...trust the phenomenal talent of Voice Play to find a way to do it almost effortlessly. Take care of yourself Dennis! Prayers for you and your whole family.

The introspection and emotion they show has to be real in some way. The way this is done with just 1 person and a mirror is a masterclass. Nice to have you back and hope you’re doing ok.

good to have you back Dennis. The original song was written about being a stalker and regretting that.... but the way this version has been done really mixes up the emotion and brings a completely different vibe. Eli did fantastically with the arrangement. We need more Eli arrangements in our future. Stunning

Welcome back. I heard the name Radiohead but never listened to their music so - I went and listened. Naughty words and loud metal noise that buried the song. When I listened to PTX I heard the words but did not care for the arrangement. Both bands are fine in their own right just not to my taste. Not intending to like it I played VP and was dumb struck at how lovely this song could be. The writer of this song had an eye/vision problem and sometimes wore an eyepatch. He felt like a weirdo in life. Involved with a young woman it did not go well. It boils down to all the emotions we all feel in our teens and early 20's and sadly sometimes longer. I have a visual problem and crossed eyes and often was the brunt of cruel statements which make you feel odd man out. Hope this helps you understand the song.

This is about looking in the mirror too closely and seeing all the flaws in yourself while seeing those around you as nearly perfect and "special". It makes you want a "perfect body and soul" no matter what it takes "even if it hurts. This is just a song about someone facing the doubts about themselves and failing to see the good. Cesar just made me want to crawl into my laptop and hug him. He did this so well. The background lighting and vocals were out of this world and were so in line with the min- blowing high notes from Anthony and Eli. Layne was as usual almost not human with the beatboxing and Geoff really rounded it out as no one else could. Another winner by Voiceplay!!!

I had never heard of the song or of the original artist (except for Geoff's version of High and Dry), but this was amazing!! I hope we don't have to wait another 3 years for an arrangement from Eli.

I ❤️ Voiceplay!! They have done amazing with this rendition of the song. I always am bowing my head to Voiceplay as they go above and beyond. Eli has done amazing at this arrangement of this song. 👏🏼 I have listened to this song non stop and cried nearly everytime.. 😢 Ceasar with his emotion in his voice and acting. Eli with his high notes... Anthony with the long runs and notes and lots of emotion. Geoff with the bass notes and just amazing at the beats Layne the human drum kit as always 😍 ♥️ Voiceplay are just hitting it out of the park. Masterpiece!! ❤

So, the original song is written from the perspective of someone stalking a love interest, and coming to regret their behavior. Voiceplay have turned it a little more relatable and family friendly by recontextualizing it as a battle against mental illness, intrusive thoughts, and self image issues. As someone who has struggled with these things my entire life (in clinical treatment for mental illness from age 9), Voiceplay laid my heart bare with this one, and made me feel seen in a way I never have been. It's incredible and I am so glad the song has been reimagined this way.

I have been listening to this song since the 90s, and I always really liked it. I understood the lyrics and the meaning behind them. And it is a good song, which is why it's been covered so many times by so many types of artists. I had, admittedly, grown tired of Creep covers and was not overly enthusiastic when I saw it was VP's next song. Not that I doubted they would do a great job with it, I was just not excited for yet another cover of Creep. Boy did I have to eat my words on this one. Even though I have been listening to this song, literally, for decades, VP's version is the first to ever make me feel this song. I cried the first few times I watched this video. And, yes, you are correct about the imagery with the mirror, being able to look into one and dealing with your reflection, whatever that may be to you. Just pure mastery.

It is a masterpiece and Eli arranged it, lighted, staged it, Cesar brought the incredible emotions to set the beginning. Brings back a time when I wished I was special. Then I got my fellow and he thought I was special every day until he died.

You could have played the entire song again. Another reactor played it three times before he could dry his tears and pull himself together to finish the reaction. Don’t worry about them getting too emotional, though. For their next video they are the same lovable knuckleheads we’ve come to love! So happy you are feeling well enough to get back to reactions. You’ve been missed.

Dennis....I saw Creep when it first dropped and I've watched a ton of reactions to it including yours. I seriously don't have the words to describe the emotions I have running through me every time I go back and watch it over and over and over again. I'll simply say this being a huge fan of Radiohead. This is beautiful beyond words and otherworldly as if in a dream. Eli's arrangement and lighting. Everything about this video with his name attached to it is a living, breathing masterpiece. It literally took my breath away.

Welcome back Dennis. You were missed. Hope you are feeling better. The reaction was great. This was a masterpiece. The words to this song has been interpreted several different ways and means different things to different people. Rejection, loneliness, self doubt, victims of emotional abuse and bullying. It can mean so much. Your reaction was honest and as you see it. That makes the reaction real. Loved it brother. Glad you are back at it. Keep taking care of yourself.

You took away the same thing I did from this. They just pulled out all the feels. Eli did a phenomenal job! The mirror was such a great way to show that what we see in ourselves is not always the real us. We tend to judge ourselves based on fears and feelings of unworthiness. This just is amazing.

The song was written about struggles to talk to a pretty girl who went to school with Radiohead's singer and attended some of his concerts, yet he was too shy to talk to her. He tried following her around as he built up confidence, but ended up feeling creepy about it, until in anguish she left without him ever saying anything to her. He said in an interview that he felt like he lacked what others saw as masculine, he didn't want to act all aggressive like the stereotypical hard rock star, so instead he felt like he was a "weirdo" social outcast. It's been interpreted by listeners in millions of ways, since each of us face a moment where we feel like we don't fit in, be it our physical body ("I want a perfect body") or spiritually ("I want a perfect soul") and simply wanting to be noticed, to feel special. The original lyrics were banned in the UK for profanity and being "too depressing" so Radiohead made a clean version, changing the f-word to "very," which is what most cover groups use. Straight No Chaser also did an acapella version of this, far more subdued.

Glad to see you back, hoping you're at 100% soon. Did you catch that Eli did the arrangement/video/lights? I think many of us have been through this... being infatuated with someone that simply seems "out of our class" in whatever way.... they seem so top notch that we just can't measure up. I definitely remember feeling like this sometimes in my teens/early 20's. Sometimes they were genuinely smarter/more talented than everyone else etc, sometimes it was just the stars in my eyes that made me believe it.

I think this song is about self doubt. People will sometimes run from a good relationship based on this doubt. Creep was also covered by Pentatonix, although it skipped the last stanza. It was for the masked singer and has a backing soundtrack.

It's funny, I watched a Radiohead version just before watching your reaction and to me, this is the difference: Like this version, it does alternate between quiet and loud sections. But, it seemed like the audience was almost just 'enduring' the slower, quiet parts and waiting for the louder, raucous parts to kick in so that they could dance around wildly and rock out. But the vibe I get from that is that they are angry and defiant, almost as if they are blaming others for making them feel like 'a creep'. With VP, the vibe of that whole middle section showing all of them singing together is not ''anger", it's "despair", coming from their own feelings of self-loathing, if that makes any sense?

That part feels more like ‘wailing’ and ‘sobbing’ instead of ‘yelling’ in this version.

That was my sense, too. The original was anger at the world for othering the listener/singer. VoicePlay's version is the maudlin despair of believing the words.

Thank you for not comparing. I don't see the need. I'm not one for favourites, but this I do love for its emotion. A masterpiece yes, and it's Eli's masterpiece. With Geoff suggesting the mirrors. For me this is heartbreaking and gut wrenching. Anyone with insecurities will understand this. Geoff, wanting a perfect body - well we knew that. Eli may feel overlooked by being short. Cesar is gay and that can be a problem for many. Anthony - well his looks are not classical I suppose, and I don't know about Layne,. what are his insecurites? Anyway they all brought it, in spades.

The original of this never really did anything for me, although others raved about it. Same with the covers I've heard of it but this cover.... THIS cover is phenomenal! Very emotional and, as always, superbly done by the guys. I was very happy late last Friday afternoon when 3 of my fave YT artists all released new songs within about an hour of each other. You've now reacted to 2 of them - this by VP and "Might As Well Be Me" by HF. The third ("Fight The Tide" by Jonathan Young with Colm McGuinness - another fave) I don't think is really up your street so I'm not expecting a reaction to that 😆 - but it would be interesting if you did though 😉

You certainly do need to watch the original by Radiohead (maybe in your own time if you prefer not to play curse words on the channel) and the short version by Brian Justin Crum on AGT (with his backstory preceding). There’s been many covers of this song, but these 3 (VP included) are the only versions I’ve heard that have sucker punched right in the feels (dangit, Caesar 🥺).
