it has been tough in our area . lately I been also micro fishing and has paid off . I been throwing crappie magnets, bobby garland minnows , small cranks and grubs. I fished a new place which was river king Peabody strip mine lakes in new Athens Illinois . I highly recommend going there great off shore or in your kayak on the bigger lakes . check out my bad day on the boat ramp video it was crazy at Kinkade lake

If I don't get bites I always go to smaller and smaller tackles. At least 80% of my tackle is under the 7g level, which I think is about the cut off for light wheight. I have a load of realy small grubs form the 90s, I still need to go take a few out of storage to weigh.
