The phyllo pastry master was featured in STILL STANDING series with millions of views, hes a legend. I didn't know about him when i was visiting Crete in 2026, otherwise i would pay him a visit . Buggasta & Spanakopita are my favorite because both are not too sweet 😊

I thought Greeks call that drink Ouzo and Turks call it Raki or is this a different kind of drink Raki?
@Sirena_medusa133 жыл бұрын
It's a different drink, ouzo and raki are Greek but in Turkey they also have raki
@aokiaoki42383 жыл бұрын
Ouzo has an anise flavour. Raki in Greek is called Tsipouro and that's its original name.

@@aokiaoki4238 In Crete it is called raki or tsikoudia and most definitely not tsipouro, so it is it's greek name. The origin of the name doesn't really matter since it has been integrated in the language for centuries.

God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, & abominable, & murderers, and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent.

Yes we adore HELLAS and teh HELLENIC world, but WHY can't you speak the Hellenic language? There are so many internet freebies that can teach you and imagine how the family would be politely surprised and ever so happy. Oh, Peter Manetas has a brilliant series on the islands - made for Australia.

Julia, you got it wrong about the Romans. Otherwise, interesting but not worth 10 points. 20 minutes is very short, it's more of an introduction than a serious travelogue: where are the mountains and valleys, villages, gastronomy, wines, local folklore, costumes, architecture, history, etc??? You met 2 bakers, a shepherd, and exhanged 3 wordswith them and instead of local guides hired a chap from Manchester, who was really a taxi driver who drove you to the shepherd's farm and talked about windmills he saw on an old picture but are no longer there on a valley which tourists are never going to visit because it's a farming valley.
