Right of the Bet you got yourself an old 1880's Larger Bottle - cool Find indeed ! 1880's early Milk - wow ! When You show us cleaned Bottles we see in some of them Air Bubbles in the Glass ! We have NEVER seen a "Straw" Line in the Glass - must be Rare ????!!!! That Green Perfume is out off this World - soooo Pretty ! You Americans loved Your German Beer already 120 Years ago ! Cobalt is such a Great Color ! You Three pulled out Tons of Bottles and some very pretty Marbles as well ! Yes - cleaning the Inside of the Bottles with small 2.5mm length of Copper Pieces works sooooo well - thats all we ever done ! For us its Hazels Dairy the TOP Find ! Nice Coin "Hoard" ! Gold Ring to boot - wow ! A little Girls Stash of Beads - brought a Tear to our Eyes - maybe she lost it or dug a Hole to stash it or it was thrown out ! We are soooooooooooo Glad that You are Saving them - thank You ! Tomato Glass Tray - how cool is that ! Perfume Glass Hot Rod ! Great long Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!

I am so glad to find your site!! I live in a home/estate built in 1840. There is a creek that has eroded around the old trees & I have found some beautiful Evening in Paris little vials among other bottles & lots of broken glass. I loved to go poke around after a rain washed more treasures up! I had no idea it was a thing!! My husband’s family who we bought from knew the spots I dug was the old trash pits & thought I was weird!🤭😎

I just wonder what the people from over 100 years ago would think of anyone being thrilled over their garbage! I’m super jealous. Looks like great fun digging up treasures!! My grandfather used to dig stuff out of an old sink hole in WV. He pulled out an old butter churn he gave to my mom. I cannot even imagine the goodies that were thrown in there….

The ring looks to be a 10k yellow/white gold.. with a real small diamond chip..The car bottle was sold through AVON ..I believe crafted by Janet Crafts..Awesome finds Brother..I wish I could run into one of these honey holes.Sending positive energy blessings and prayers for future endeavors..Keep on digging Brothers and Sister .. Travis, This is the type of video that has been missing for a bit, a little bit of everything. You dug up some sweet milks and that druggist is fabulous. Can you tell me a bit more about it? I can't believe you found that ring with the stone on it, I bet it is a genuine diamond and at least 10 karat. I love these long videos because you can't wait to see what's next. Also that little glass car is so cool. The beads in the vial are called seed beads in case you wanted to know. You and Kim and family have a blessed 2023.

Man can you do an educational video with a good cam that really shows the detail and. Show the progression of bottles from the earliest ones you have to like the 40s. I know I threw a bunch of bottles back I should have kept cause I was brand new and didn’t think I should be keeping the early machine mades and blown in mold. Also like the tooled top you talk about. That would be a great help to us newbies

How do you clean your bottles ????
@meepenjaap7999
@meepenjaap7999 Жыл бұрын
Your glass cleaning is bar none the best I've seen on any mudlarking channels. I usually use glacial acetic acid. I learned to use it when in chemistry class for cleaning the lab glassware. What did you mean at 42.44 (Hazel's Dairy) when you said you use "cut copper to clean out" the bottles. What is cut copper?
@CrickDiggersInc
@CrickDiggersInc Жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct cut copper pellets from jardoctor.com #12 regular cut. All I do is fill up the bottle about 1/2 way with copper, then I fill room temp water just above the copper line, so just past half way. I put my hand over the opening and give it a good shaking for about 15-20 seconds rotating ever slightly. If its really stubborn I turn the bottle around hold the opening with other hand and shake some more both back and forth and making it spin around the inside as well. It really cleans the bottles up super nice. For the outside I use steel wool for washing your dishes. I don’t like the copper one because it actually puts copper in the shine but the regular steel wool makes it glisten and will not scratch the glass. Super fast and efficient method. 😊

@CrickDiggersInc Жыл бұрын
I have several spots currently I’m working. One is an old creek bed which we’re commonly used to dump trash in and mountain sides, ravines, sink holes, old farms, pretty much anywhere that is old areas should be checked thoroughly. Glass is not always visible on the surface so you must look for bricks, ash, pottery, anything not natural. Dig many test holes, always carry and small shovel and gloves to be ready at any time.
