My husband was an abuser; ALL my family members and friends thought he was absolutely WONDERFUL, he was so cunning.

I really want to know what she loved on him? I could see on their wedding day, that he didn't love her. She was all smiles, full of happiness, and he barely cracked a smile. His patients knew him as a doctor, not as man and or husband, he wasn't their friend. Having an excellent job doesn't mean you are a good person. I hope he rots in jail, what a monster .

I can understand his patients feeling surprised, but none of them should have spoken up on his behalf without having the whole story. Abusers are often very charismatic with those outside the family. Having a stellar reputation is part of what they do to hide their crimes against women. He's where he belongs, but14 years seems like a really light sentence. P.S. Of course, it's not Elena's fault, but MY GOD. He threatened to throw his own infant daughter into the river & blame Elena. And she took him back, and even had two more children with that monster. WOMEN, PLEASE LEAVE. LEAVE AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT. AND NEVER LOOK BACK.

RIP Dr. Fric. Our society puts an immense amount of pressure on women to be perfect. The perfect wife. The perfect mother. The perfect career woman. A hard lesson to learn is that your happiness and peace is more important than the image you struggle to produce. For anyone out there struggling with self-worth/self-image I have one thing to say to you. YOU ARE ENOUGH. Life is too short and too precious not to live genuinely. I speak from personal experience and have never been happier.

The people with the most amounts of "proof of the perfect love story" on social media are usually the ones suffering in silence. Nobody has a perfect marriage. My parents had pretty close for almost 60 years. They NEVER had flowery words or staged photos. They loved each other til the moment they died. My mum still got butterflies of excitement every time he walked in the room. They were 100% committed to each other and their children. They did not need to convince the rest of the world. The 5 of us knew in our souls that we were loved and if we needed anything, we are the 1st person in each other's lives to call. Facebook, no thank you. It's for liars and cheats. I don't need to tell the world who I love, that person knows it and that's all that matters. Ladies, get away from these monsters. They don't change EVER and your life is not the price you should pay for love. There's help out there, get it and get away.
