The big mistake here was the bouncers allowing Lukas to leave the club before the Police arrived. That should have never happened. Lukas would be alive today had they kept him there till they arrived.

It is against the law to “pull the plug”. I am an ICU nurse and if I had to guess, the nurse most likely shut off the monitor SCREEN at the patient’s bedside while the one at the nurses station remained on. We try to make the room serene, peaceful, and less clinical; the family can be at one with the dying, and not disturbed by the monitor screen displaying the fading vital signs. A Terrible crime. Very sad. So sorry.

Of all the episodes of Crime Beat this was the hardest to watch. Lukas was a kind young man who was hunted down by a group of insecure self-centered boys who couldn't handle their egos being bruised. Gervais is a pretty boy who was never told "no" apparently or had any consequences for his actions; given his parents seemed to know that he was in Vietnam avoiding the law.
