This is the naked truth and unbiased to the core, how i wish many southafricans could be able to scrutinize and dig deeper pertaining to the serious critic complex and sophisticated issues prevailing in our country, my wish is solely focused on the youth of this country, bcs the future of SAFRICA is in their own hands and that of their children.

This is one of the most inspiring figures in politics currently. There is something about a person being accomplished outside of politics that gives them a gravitas that career politicians don't have. I really enjoyed this episode.

Hope for the hopeless, can't wait to hear of his strides in Part Two. The Doc seems to have a great understanding of the challenges, that's a great start. The challenges sound rudimentary, it's difficult to understand why no one has been able to do anything about them. Shoulder to the wheel Doc, we desperately need solutions 🙌🏾

I am honestly impressed by the logic from the Doc to think we had people occupying these positions for years and failed to identify such basic things, which need to be fixed in order to reduce crime and improve service delivery. In the EFF I see leadership that's willing to hit the ground running ( implementation). Something the ruling party is failing at desperately. RDP, GEAR, NDP some of the examples of how the ANC has managed to identify solutions but lack the political will to implement any of their resolutions.

I can only hope MMC Dr Tshwaku stays in that position until at least 2026 so that he deals with everything. This guy is the reason the EFF might get 50%+1 in CoJ in 2026 because people are beginning to see what he is doing. ANC hates the EFF because of people like him, they work everyday to deliver and the good thing is that they are constantly visible on the ground. We need part 2. And i like the fact that he's excited and enjoy his job and that's why we begin to see changes

There should definitely be a follow-up to this conversation and touch on the other aspects of public safety. It is refreshing to hear someone being passionate about actually pulling up their boot straps and hit the ground running. Of course it was also fascinating to listen to the MMC life story and his relationship with identity, politics and work discrimination in his come up years. I would like to suggest other government deployees about the technical work their are assigned to. We should be able to here their successes and challenges, not so much about the political parties they come from

You know hearing the Dr's passion about Science and Maths gives me goosebumps. We have a lot of educated blacks who are either sidelined or ''drugged '' into debts so they never get to see the light. We need innovation, we need these individuals, we need you Sizwe! To be at the forefront of leadership. At least i have hope when i see academias taking over leadership role in shaping the country. I hope they should conduct stats to see how many of these smart blacks and call them to a meeting to pave a way to shape our country and our continent.

Sizwe thanks so much for this interview, giving us an insight into this Black Brain's profile and struggles in pursuit of who he has become today. I have so much respect for this young man, Dr Mgcini Tshawku, he's a genius, the brain and spirit Mzansi needs, more now. Seeing how he gets to the ground, fighting crime for the safety of the Jhb citizens....that's being patriotic, a display of love for this country. Its not every day in SA we have a politician who's this committed, he is for the people. WORTH my thumb in the ballot !!. I thank God that your resilience did not allow the politics of the white corporate regime destroy you....they just couldnt not touch that inner strong man in you Mgcini, on the contrary, they contributed to your quest to fight for your inner conviction...God bless you in all your endeavors...

In the health profession we experienced the same thing, if ever an African gets a senior position somehow they would find a way of matching them with a white person who mysteriously would end being the one recognised in that position. If you cone up with a brilliant idea it would be underplayed and be brought back as a new idea in another meeting by a white person who will take credit for that.
