The fact that they can say they were satisfied with the clear communication but yet they didn't properly notify the public of this man pretending to be an officer?! No that's not clear communication!

It’s incredible how something this huge and this recent is almost completely unknown, in the USA anyway, because the news was monopolized by C19. We never would have received such a deep dive into details and analysis on the tv news anyway. Thank you. Blessings to all those souls, and to you folks for telling their story.

I was just thinking this! How did we not hear of this? How was this not discussed for weeks? How is this under a year ago and still no coverage other than my running into it by accident? I have been glued to this podcast marathon style. Unable to stop listening. The more I listen the more it feels like even the RCMP were scared for their own lives and did not run in head first. Almost like they kept the information to themselves. Why? Why? Why? Why not say there is an active shooter in police disguise. Stay inside. Tell all you know. 😡😔💔

Again, thank you for the full and open story. I hope the families of the victims can find some form of peace in their hearts with the information your podcast was able to uncover......such a painful and tragic time in their lives that will forever remain.......

I don't get the 3 thumbs down at this moment I write this. It's a disgrace. I'm deeply moved about this whole podcast. It has happened, but besides all the red flags in the past, rhe gunman ruined a lot of amazing Nova Scotia inhabitants. So many people have lost their loved ones, family and friends. And I feel so bad. Because I'd love to fit in in an amazing community like the Nova Scotia's. Because of this podcast, last week I did try to find the gunman's route on Google Maps en I'm just blown away how accurate it is and all the gunman's property has been vanished. I really feel bad for a Dutchman. And I hope, that eventually you all will get better out of this. For me, this all could have been prevented. That perpetrator had a past. And there lies the finger that needed to be addressed. Mostly, a mild offense in the past will end up as a huge crime in the future. Not always, but mostly it does. I feel, the gunman should have been jailed and monitored for what he did as a thirtier. I am trying to say, also for my country or anywhere else in the world, once known to the police, make a law to follow him till dead. Once insane at a younger age will most likely cause havoc on full adulthood. And common, a lifesentence with a parole of 20 years, it is not working. Smart people with a gut, don't forget. Wortman had a plan and was prepared, he went grazy, because of Covid, but he went for it. It's difficult, but in a way we need to monitor abnormal behaviour from Kindergarten to highschool. Keep talking, keep chatting, also not every inverted person is evil, but Wortman could have been stopped. I'm not blaming any policeman or woman at 18 April 2020, I'm blaming all the others, in your justice system that examined Wortman's behaviour in the past and let him go. My sympathy and empathy goes to all the loved onces those beautiful people have lost. I keep on watching, please bring the truth out and learn from this. But don't withold the truth, I get angry too. To the justice system of Canada and to the MRCP, be honest. I urge you, get the truth out for disclosure. Show the victims in true honesty what went wrong. But never sweep dirt underneath a carpet, I'm watching too My sincerely love to you all. This is a moment I wish, I could turn back time. Such a heartbreaking story that also chills me to the bone. Should never have happened. I grief with all of you.

Thanks for taking names from a headline and giving us a chance to know the humans they were. Sounds like a lot of great people live in Nova Scotia. I hope this incident doesn't ruin what sounds like a most awesome place to live. I hope the people there can find trust again.

I feel absolutely awful for Kristin's family.....her husband now without his wife talking about that day, how she was pregnant and now her 3 year old who she would always run late to work for to hug one more time was without a mom... that got me!

Tom's story particularly moves me because my dad, at the same age, was shot at while chasing a purse snatcher who thrown a woman to the ground during the robbery. I watched the whole thing happen. Tom sounds a lot like him.

To listen to the cops talk their way around how horrible they handled this just makes me so mad. How convenient they were writing up a report for an alert to be put out ? But Stephen McNeil approached them about it ?!?! Like come on it was NEEDED ! And then... EIGHT FREAKING HOURS for a husband to know his wife was killed, and for the other families to find kind out. This is such a heart breaker. My heart shatters with every episode, but can't stop listening.

This podcast was completed before the open inquiry. That inquiry was called the "Mass Casualty Commission" ad if you read through it, you'll find that @RCMPNS performed worse than you think. Campbell and Leather were making misleading statements

I love the audio podcasts. Good storytelling is a dying art, and especially ones that bring reams of data to life and give them such impact and coherence. Actors portraying those involved wouldn’t have done justice to the insane reality.

Re emergency alert. If they got swarmed with calls they were not clear on the alert. The example was proof they didn’t. Educate the public & they will comply. I think it was addressed this way to take some of the heat off their failure to communicate & save lives the previous weekend. CYOB.

Trust is beautiful: Betrayal, heartbreaking. At the heart of every traumatic human experience in private or public it becomes an act of betrayal. A jealous vindictive friend, the adulterous husband, or cheating wife, a promiscuous lover, are some of the most hurtful experience in relationships! No matter how strong you think you are betrayal and cheating are desimating... Broken heart crushed soul... That pain can paralyze spouses into a depressive state of bitterness apathy and retribution. The evil you conjure up with your betrayal and partication in your adulterous affairs could end desdly in revenge murder and mayham. Calk it Payback?! Ypur Betrayal parallels Rape. Your Adultry parallels Murder. Adultry is not a victimless crime. Dear selfish me me me...Do you understand the damage you caused to others
