One thing about Charleston White is he puts his money where his mouth is. He’s in the trenches, working with children in horrible neighborhoods on a daily basis. He hosts events, fundraisers, block parties for the boys and girls clubs, etc. He is ACTIVELY involved in his community and the impoverished American class in general. All this stuff is for clout, but the majority of what he does and who he is, is a great influence on countless children’s lives and environments

My father worked for the HCSO investigating child abuse reports. He was a strong man with little or no empathy. So, a bit of a jerk. After six months he had to resign, because the cases were so horrific he couldn’t stand it anymore. Better a fake report than no report; sometimes it’s genuine.

I called law enforcement and cps on a family member recently, but their child is in so much danger. I don't have a relationship with my family member, I've only seen them about four times in the last five years. They were complaining that her daughter was probably being sexually abused by her uncle. She kept showing everyone a picture of her privates, showing that there was a rash and signs of abuse. I yelled at her that she needs to stop showing people and call law enforcement, not cps, and get him arrested. Cps can handle it after the arrest since my state's child wellfare is a joke. She said she is and the pictures are evidence. A year later she came over and kept showing newer pictures of abuse, telling me she hasn't done anything and sends her back into that environment. I was shocked and disgusted that she didn't even care about her daughter, just fine with showing people it, complaining, and then doing nothing. She also started using meth and moved in a female relative that was my abuser when I was little, which I brought up in the call, that person has abused other girls and I wouldn't put it past her to abuse the child in question. Incestuous sexual abuse was really bad in our family, she's just allowing for more generational trauma to continue. So I had to call, she didn't give me a choice, she's lucky I didn't beat her ass. In the call I told that she was bragging about cps showing up right before that(for claims of her meth use) saying that the worker was stupid because her meth pipe and substance was sitting on her counter in view. And I made sure they knew everything about my abuser. I haven't heard anything about it yet, unfortunately.

I am 64. When I was in K-6, our teachers regularly engaged us in class discussions about morality issues related to the current news. I remember it; perhaps others don't. The teachers tried to stay neutral and let us kids talk about the pros and cons of whatever the subject matter was. I don't think this deviation from established curriculum is allowed these days. But since we have horrible standardized test scores on mandated areas of study already, what would it hurt to bring these thoughtful discussions back? I learned about Miranda at that time, which was a monumental SCOTUS decision that stands to this day. I attended K-4 in Los Angeles and finished in NorCal in a rural community of lower socio-economic status. But the teachers back then had the freedom to introduce important topics to their classrooms without being tethered by restrictions. I would much rather produce a generation of moral and ethical children with low test scores, than produce a generation of low test scores with no morals and ethics.

As someone that was the victim of a fake CPS call, this brings up bad memories. Mine was because my wife had an affair and I didn't know about it. So I was paying the price for her stupidity and even though she was sure who called amd why, she played along like it was my mother who called, or one of my aunts. That made zero sense amd I realized later that in addition to her being a cheater, a narcissist she was an emotional abuser and seperating me from my family was her goal. This call sped that process up. Of xourse a month later the truth came out, but a CPS call is horrendous. Nothing good come from it. Your children are terrified. You are threatened with arrest. They want urine and hair samples sometimes. They wanted the combo to my gun safe which I refused. They wanted in my locked medicine cabinet. The claims made were completely inconsistent with anything the school had seen, and the claims made about me could have been resolved with a simple phone call to my doctor. The claims against my wife were kind of true, but not to the extent claimed in the report. If you make a false claim, you deserve whatever hell visits you.
