@No Half Measures Point is he holds them accountable. Having an excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one's physical appearance is the definition of narcissistic. And that’s not how he acts. He’s a public service figure and pretty good one at that. And on that note he doesn’t speak to the viewers as a child he’s talking about the criminals. And that’s what they are 97% of the time because i’m pretty sure every person and crime that was said in this video has been prosecuted already. But ayy you do you✌🏽

When I was in highschool back in 2006 I remember we went into lockdown one day bc there was a killer on the loose. We had the TV's on in the classroom and we're watching it unfold live. They surrounded the guy in the woods and lit him up like a Christmas tree. They put at least 100 rounds in him. Grady Judd said afterwards they would have shot him more but they ran out of bullets.

@@TheHockey991 it's the man and his manner that tells me that...not the conferences. I remember thinking Joe Arpaio was "the man" before I realized how Policing and the DOC worked. We were all weaned on a steady diet of "Cops" and Crime Shows that supplanted a narrative as to who the good guys and bad guys were. I went through my life stereotyping, assuming and villainizing whole groups of people as result. Sadly due to profiling and racism, only certain demographics could be the bad guys...cuz those were the only ones they were looking for and checking. I'm not saying that police and safety officers aren't necessary, merely that the gloating and dehumanizing humor is unnecessary and keeps certain myths alive. It appears Polk county is off the chain so they must be putting law before service in all they do. Established on a toxic footing where perhaps one cannot avoid growing up criminal or mad. Really maybe look at some statistics instead your honeymoon of emotion. I live in Eagan and in 15 years I have never had anything stolen even when I have left the garage door open all night. I also volunteer at the Minneapolis airport and everyday some person is handing me a lost phone, purse or wallet. Meanwhile while I live in FL and I almost died when the ER sent me home with a 103* fever and told me to see my doctor in 2 week while my leg have a massive infection. I went to anotjer ER and spent 6 week in the hospital and needed 4 surgeries. Then when my car was stolen the cop arrested me because he did not believe cars could be stolen unless you had the key. I guess he never heard of a car being hot wired. Then I had some sicko neighbor that stalked me everywhere and wrote letter whining about a weed in my yard. Even the HOA told him they were not taking his complaint anymore because he was crazy. Yep FL is a great place. The traffic is terrible. Crime is 3 time worse then MN also. As a person out of state when I first moved to MN those MN property taxes where cheaper then in state property taxes for my home in FL. I will not even talk about the home owner insurance cost. What do you get to do in FL? Sweat! So glad I moved out of that dump. It is fimd to visit for a few weeks but it is not a good state.

You're allowed to have whatever opinion you want to have on him, but I can say that as someone who lives in this area and has moved here from elsewhere, he is a breath of fresh air. I know there are a LOT of people who love his style, which his re-election track record shows. In fact, the only people I've ever known to complain about him were one's who've been arrested by him/his office. I moved to Polk Co. from a town with a population of about 150,000, which is probably about a third of the size of Polk County's main city (Lakeland). Let me tell you, the crime in Polk County, compared to the small town I came from is night and day. I know what it's like to live in a place that has daily shootings, murders, muggings, open drug deals, break-ins, and acts of arson, and the sheriff has no solutions and won't even admit there is a problem. IMO, this sheriff is doing something right. He might be zany, he might have an ego, and there's no doubt he loves the spotlight, but he's doing his job and keeping the community informed and our spirits up in the meantime. We appreciate him and he will continue to be Polk County's sheriff until he retires. Thank you, Grady Judd!

Drug-legalization would put most *cops* out of business, too… Wave a wand and get rid of crime, what happens to people who work in LE and prisons? Arrest innocent people? Or find a new profession? Grady is entertaining, but unprofessional as hell. He is tailor made for YT and social media but probably does more to hurt cases than help them. As Bruce points out-- any defense attorney is going to use those press conferences as cause to move a trial for tainting a jury. Grady doesn't provide information, he provides commentary. He isn't a policeman he is a pundit. His assumption of guilt shows that he is in fact, terrible at his job. Literally the antithesis of how our criminal justice system is supposed to work. It's entertaining when it's on tv, but in the real world it's nothing short of an insult to justice. You know what you never see is these 'name and shame' pundits putting in that same level of energy to clear peoples' names when they are found not guilty. They don't take the responsibility to undo harm that they cause because it wouldn't get the views.

Judd's job isn't to respect the "legal profession". He has used the threat of embarassment through social media as a tool to accomplish exactly what he was hired to do. Another effective method he has used to diminish crime is the strict enforcement of the law. As someone once put it "I'm scared to even fart in Polk County". The people I've talked to that are from Polk generally love him. Like him or hate him, his methods appear to have cleaned up Polk, at least in some ways. Also typically the people who gets videos about them are either important situations or massive pieces of shit that deserve exposure. For example on the last part: the couple who let their baby rot to death in it's crib or the damn near monthly pedophile busts. I have no problem with those people being publically shamed.

That's funny, he holds the evidence up. There it is right there, you answered your own question." Evidence" held in his hand. Hardcore proof not speculation. It's not what you know in court it's what you can prove." Evidence".... He is not out there chasing innocent people. You have to be screwing up to get on his radar. Everyone knows you don't screw off in Grady's county. He is not a secret. So if you are a child molester, a murderer, a kidnapper, a burglar, a drug dealer, gang member just to mention a few. You have the right to decide if you want to do that crap Mr Grady's county. You have that freedom of choice. But don't be a crybaby when the cat catches the mouse. That's part of cat and mouse. Real question should be when you're getting ready to break the law, should say to yourself. I'm in Mr Grady's county. What crime am I getting ready to commit? What kind of sentence does that carry? Do I really want to at the fool around here? Can I do the time for the crime that I'm about to pull? Ask yourself those questions. Then decide you're free. Balls in your court? But don't cry about the nature of game you're playing when you get caught. I'm glad to see the man still has jokes and is able to be lighthearted and able to smile. I'll tell you right now that job that he does can turn your heart cold. You see him on the press conference on monitor. He's on there talking about the bad s***. He's not running down everybody that deals with the police department. He is not on there talking about so and so got a speeding ticket or this person didn't pay child support this week. Or this person was pulled over driving on suspended. He's on there for the people that are causing his community harm. He is not on there talking about so and so stole a candy bar from Walmart.. y'all need to realize who he is after. You don't hire a little Sunday school boy to get the devil. That's why all these other states above us New York California Chicago. Crime is outrageous murder is outrageous and their states are going to hell. That's why they're all moving here. Y'all need to wake up.. we are not defunding police in the state of Florida. You don't just get to running stores 40 50 60 people and Rob it. You don't get to burn our buildings down. And you don't get to slap the hardcore criminals on the wrist and turn their asses back out. Don't get to shoot at our cops or residence.Don't get to hurt people, then expect people to listen to you about how rough the cops were. You shoot at our cops of Florida. Do you really want to put your mama through that, identifying you with 80 bullet holes in you... If your answer is yes then the world is better off without you. So it's pretty simple and you have the choice. Don't do the crime unless you can do the time. I can tell you this as a Florida cracker, if I need to get a little dark or maybe up to no good. That's the first thing I think of, what county is this where am I at.for me asking myself that question. The answer to that question has prevented me from getting stupid a few times. Why do you owe a child rapist dignity? Why would you give dignity to a man that forcibly raped a woman what about the woman’s dignity. Why would you give dignity to a drug dealer that sells drugs to children? You’re sitting in your house relaxing your front door is kicked in and you are the victim of a home invasion You are beaten up raped all of your valuables are stolen from you including your car then this sheriff catches the criminal that raped you and terrorized your family and you want that criminal treated with dignity? Sounds like you didn’t think it through

I'm actually surprised defendants' due process hasn't come up. I am aware of one of his cases in a somewhat personal way. I was not involved in a defendant's defense, but I worked with someone who was. The way this sheriff (and his deputies) twists the evidence is like nothing I've ever witnessed. First, no one in his department wears body-cams, and that says a mouthful. I watched him tell flat-out lies about the LA County PD in one of these videos. Much of the "evidence" he provided in the video of this case was HIGHLY exaggerated. Our country was based upon and continues to run properly because of a system of laws. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty but not in Polk County. If he wants to demean defendants, he should wait until they're proven guilty. The defendant my colleague was defending ended up having his case dismissed for lack of evidence. He was sincerely in the wrong place at the wrong time, but some of his family members think he's a drug lord and deals with sex trafficking. He is NEITHER of those.

@@christianc.christian5025 I was pleasantly surprised to see CLR call out this sheriff, and even more surprised to see so many still praise his theatrics. Given the number of press conferences and "sting" operations in Polk county, it must be the crime capital of the country. Apparently, his tactics are not deterring crime. I like to hope that at some point honesty and decency will win out over anger-tainment. That said, Fox news is still going. So, I'm not so sure.

There are a lot of people in the comments claimed that he’s like the best sheriff ever, but from what I see usually people who are pretty good public officials don’t get the kind of reaction that he does from the public. He’s not Giuliani RICO-ing the mob. In fact, I think he’s a great example of why the layperson’s urge to “say it like it is” and crush is actually a bad thing.

For those who don't understand: Criminal defense attorneys hate the government lol. We have a judicial system that is abused by the people who run it. Criminal defense attorneys are the first, last, and really only line of defense that defendants have. And even then, a lot of attorneys don't try their hardest, or are swamped by work, or are simps for the district attorney's (prosecutors). Criminal defense attorneys see all the abuse. They see how innocent people get in trouble when they shouldn't. They seen struggling, good people make a mistake and get way more of a punishment then they should. Every criminal defense attorney I know - Republican, Democrat, Christian, Atheist, you name it - hates the government. They despise the police. They only tolerate the judges. They hold their nose when talking to government attorneys. The whole system is rotten and they know it because they have a front row seat to it- but unlike government officials they don't benefit from it the same way. Bruce isn't any different. I think he concedes that the government is a necessary evil (most attorneys I know do as well), but they have a mindset that's puts them in a position where they like to attack government officials wherever they can (and attorneys are taught how to do this in all situations). Which, to be honest, is something we all do. We all like to attack our enemies wherever we can. And, guess what? The government are the enemies of criminal defense attorneys. Bruce isn't being a snowflake. He sees one cog in this machine he's against acting particularly asinine. I understand why he made this video, and I think it's cool. I hope he makes more videos reacting to misconduct or unprofessional behavior from government officials.

I agree with you Bruce. Grady Judd is a clown. I worked for law enforcement in my younger years. I started out with rose colored glasses. The guys that had responded to my alcohol fueled domestic violence hell of a home as a kid had become like big brothers and sisters to me. I really wanted to give back to my community. After a few years, I began seeing things a little clearer. I saw the militarization beginning and the entire culture shift. I became so disillusioned and disappointed. Grady Judd is a symptom of the many problems in law enforcement. The lack of accountability in American law enforcement is disgusting. Grady is poisoning the jury pool with his ridiculous press conferences. Peel back a few layers and his constituents might be surprised by what they see.

Public knowledge of the types of criminals these men are puts a PUBLIC light who they are. Lets be honest 90% of child pornographers and paedaphiles who land in jail, are not rehabilitated and are a green light to other prisoners who detest the men pictured. I applaud Sheriff Grady who I feel does a public service. His demeanor is right on the mark. DO YOU GET IT YET ????
